Release date for PCM.daily's 2009 DB V3
As you probably know, the PCM.daily DB has been going through beta testing for quite some time. So far, it's been going well, and we're really doing our utmost to make it as bugfree as possible - and thereby also make it remarkably better than the V2 ;)
We feel quite confident that we're now as close to that goal as possible, meaning that we can give you a release date. We've said 'April' over and over again - now we're saying April between the 24th and 26th, meaning at some point this weekend.
Until we reach this date, we'll make sure to release more details about the improvements in the DB: What we've added, what we've fixed, etc. So keep an eye on the news section this week :)
The database team consisting of the two Germans Petacchi and Altehacke known as P&A is back with a database based on the 2009 season. They've previously released a 2008 DB for PCM08 and had originally planned to move on to PCM09 - but luckily for everyone, they decided to do a last, final DB for PCM08: P&A DB 09.
The features are pretty much what you can expect from a proper DB: The stats have been adjusted to the 2009 season, and there's 63 fully updated teams included. You'll also find more equipment in the DB which can be used in the 16 new 2009 race routes. You can find a more extensive list of features in the forum thread or head directly to the download section and try it out.
With the PCM.daily 2009 DB V3 getting closer and closer to completion, the 2nd beta is about to be released. We've previously invited people to help us test out, and with the 2nd beta, we're looking for even more testers.
We're looking for two kind of testers: 1. Regular / 'normal' testers with focus on one or more parts of the game. 2. Story Writers - testers who simply use the DB like it a final version and report whatever they find along the way.
If you're interested, send me a PM and you'll get a response within a few days.
Hello and welcome to the insanely belated for no reason at all pseudo-award ceremony for the Community Jersey Competition.
We have found four winners in the four jersey categories, Track, The Main Event, Freestyle and Comical Relief.
Aaannndddd, to make you (yes: YOU!) happy, there was a tiny rule change so now the votes given for the event... actually determines who wins. Yes people, democracy. Arent you happy?
So, if you would be kind enough to hit the read more button, we can go on the ”Award ceremony”
No, the Management Game forums haven't been deleted. And even if they had, we do of course keep backup of our content, meaning that it'd be no problem to restore it should Waghlon one day screw up - which we all suspect that he will ;)
But in this case, Waghlon kept himself out of trouble, he didn't delete any forums, and he didn't ban any members. Mainly because he hasn't got the necessary admin privileges ;) It should be mentioned, though, that we did actually ban Waghlon. We only just opened up for his account again.
So, instead, we'd like to wish everyone a happy 1st of April - several people were fooled by this. I've received several desperate private messages and MSN conversations, and all I can say is that we in the crew have had a lot of fun.
