We are currently having problems with our host ("Bandwidth exceeded"). We are far from having reached our limit, though. An e-mail has been sent to the support, and we are awaiting an answer.
Update: It seems like we have exceeded our "Daily Bandwidth Allowance" - a limitation I haven't been aware of. I'm not satisfied with the answer from my host, so I will keep disturbing them until they allow the site to use its bandwidth as it want to ;)
In any case, the site will not function normally until 01:00 GMT.
Update at 03:00: As you all noticed, we didn't manage to resolve the problem. We will learn from this experience and do our best to avoid it in the future. We are very sorry for any inconvinence caused by this.
Impish has once again managed to "crack" the DB-system. Therefore, he has now brought us the PCM Kicker New Generation Gold Edition, making you able to use the most advanced editor tool for PCM for PCM 07! Along with the new version he also told us how to make an unpacked CDB-file:
How to unpack a 2007er Database?
Easy take the file you like, rename it to Local.cdb. Copy this file to PCM2006 (yes to the old one) over the Local.cdb file. Start PCM2006 the game crashed, but in PCM2006 root directory you get a file called decompress.txt (cant remember the exact name). THis file is a unpacked PCM2007 cdb file
Based on that information, Danish member Aab-ern made a pack, consisting of the database files included with PCM 07 - but in unpacked format.
Plakker and his crew has now released the PPDB Giant 2007 for Pro Cycling Manager 2006. It includes 177 teams (counting the national teams too), 2830 riders, 479 different races with total of 1240 stages and much, much more. The PPDB-team, who recently won our award as "DB Team of the Year", and who won the "DB of the Year"-award, is generally known for making high-quality databases, and this one will probably also go over in the PCM-history as a success.
For once, our forum was very active during the night. Luckily, I had a good night of sleep - I had received my "final" key earlier that day :P Anyway, the release has resulted in a lot of questions, so let's clear up some things:
1. There's no database editor available. Cyanide will not release one soon, but they will probably release one some day. Until then, we have to hope for other people to make something which we can use.
2. No real name DB is available yet. The ones made until now don't work, and Cyanide's "official" one has not been released yet. It will soon, though, but some problems with it have to be fixed first.
3. If you haven't received a license key yet, don't complain about it here. We don't have anything to do with it, and we don't have a solution ;) Try emailing Metaboli, the ones who are "in charge" of the DL-version.
4. Impish has made it possible to play other languages than the ones included in the game. Danish and German are now downloadable from our DL-section. Replace your original Local.cdb file with the one included in the package, choose "English", and you should now be playing in the language you have downloaded.
