World Championship week is upon us once again, and that means the end of the main season is starting to finish up. But that doesn't mean PCM.Daily is struggling for action!
New Sponsorkit
Jacky Durand has made yet another version of his now truly famous Sponsorkits. The 2014 Sponsorkits Update 2.5 has now been added to the PCM.Daily downloads section. The kit has been available for longer but now it is just so much easier to access. Including just a massive list of features, so huge i won't even begin to try and list them, it is a must have download for anyone who enjoys playing the 3D race mode! If you want to give it a try just follow this link.
Mresuperstar Steps Down
Last week we had Ian Butler leave the Admin team, and now Mresuperstar follows. A lack of time and motivation are his main reasons for stepping down and taking a bit of a break from the site. Mre has been a popular Admin headlining such features as Story of the Month and Survivor in his time. His input will be sorely missed. You can read his own statement here.
World Championships Action
It's one of pro-cyclings biggest weeks with the Team Time Trials on Sunday and then events running all across the coming days. One of he last big events in the year sees plenty of action on PCM.Daily with a 2014 UCI Road World Championships thread, new bets for most events and even a World Championships Prediction Game hosted by Dippofix
Man-Game Classics
The biggest news from the Man-Game this week has to Liege-Bastogne-Liege. cunego59 reported on a classics edition of La Doyenne which saw the daring attackers claim victory in an action packed race. Jan Bakelants took a home victory for Bouygues Telecom, with Yuri Trofimov and world Champion Boasson-Hagen finishing the podium places.
We've also seen the Dutch Food Valley Classics and Interlagos GP take place for the PCT and CT teams. Two flat classics on the same day split the sprinters and perhaps too much so as a breakaway claimed victory in both races! First it was Mohammad Saufi Mat Senan of Compal-Merida in the DFVC, and later in the day Jan Dieteren of AMEXpc won in Brazil.
Thread of the Week
Finally we get to Thread of the Week. It's been another busy one dominated by cycling chat. Canadian Classics discussion, Other Races discussion and Worlds build up were all popular. Heavy discussion took over the Stat Discussion thread as well. But my Thread of the Week goes to Café Pedro Nine: Nein, nein, nein! for a range of discussion from TV shows to Windows to Finite Mathematics and beyond! |
