With roughly a week since the latest weekly news, it's time for a new edition for you, while we wait for a new patch or some news from Cyanide. Luckily, the community still provides enough material for some news for you!
17 new teams in the next version of the PCM.daily Expansion Pack lluuiiggii has just finished the teams list for the new version of the PCM.daily Expansion pack. 17 new teams has made it into the database since the last version, making the total number of teams exactly 100. So far, 15 additional new races have been added. The number of races is likely to be increased even more, though.
Beautiful stages being made for PCM12 If you haven't visited the PCM12 stage forum for a while, now is the time to do it. Some beautiful stages have been made showing an growing creativity and sense for detail among stage makers. Shack has made some very interesting stages with a high variety of fun details, e.g. motives made of camper vans or hay bales on routes running on land formed as a palm tree or races inspired by a toy race track. Another member who has shown a high sense of detail in his stages is Magh Norway with his beautiful coast lines and small villages.
A Tale of Two getting close to 500 posts In early August, Ian Butler started a story about two young Belgian cyclists, Stijn and Eric, making their way into the professional cycling scene on the World Tour team Lotto-Belisol. Now, after just one month, his thread has reached 25 pages and is very close to it 500th post. Along with some impressive results, his race reports with lots of in race pictures has made it the most popular PCM12 story so far.
PCM.daily Favourite Team Contest has found a new winner For three years, Mresuperstar has organised a poll to find out which cycling team isthe most popular on PCM.daily. The contest was won by Bbox Bouygues Telecom in 2010 and by Garmin-Cervelo in 2011. However, none of these teams were even in this years final, as the final was fought out between Rabobank and Liquigas-Cannondale. Want to know the winner? Find out right here.
PCM.daily reaches 75,000 members In August, PCM.daily has reached 75,000 members on our website. Some of the older users may remember how we (or some of us) used to celebrate every thousandth member with a new thread in the forum. For some reason, this came to an end after the 10,000th member. I guess issoisso got tired of counting... Anyway, happy 75,000th member! We hope that you still enjoy visiting PCM.daily without feeling too overcrowded. ;-) |
