Back from holiday (1 week in Turkey and a few days in the south part of Denmark), I'm ready to take on the Weekly News again. So here you go.
Beta patch released to the beta testers The next patch for PCM07 is getting closer and closer. The first beta patch for the beta testers have been released under the name "Beta Patch 1.0.2.0", and it will fix several of the known bugs such as the crashes in Tour de France 2010, other crash problems when launching the game, the transferts bug is fixed (meaning that team sponsors now again are visible when wearing a leader's jersey) and much more. The full list of bug fixes will be revealed here later today.
An exact date for the release has not been set, but approx. 2-3 weeks is probably a good guess. We'll keep you updated!
PCM Spain makes a DB for PCM2007 In 2006, the Spanish PCM-community web site, PCM Spain, decided to release a DB pack. It became a huge success. It included more teams, realistic stats and in general, it seemed rather flawless. This year, PCM Spain has decided to make a pack for PCM 07, and they seem to use the same formula as last year. Not much material have been released yet, but you can find the calendar and the list of teams in our PCM Spain topic right here: http://www.pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=24&thread_id=1027
New backgrounds for your game Not so long ago our DL-section was down for a day or two. When it was back up, I added some of the backgrounds which have been released, but I never "announced" them here in the news section. So, let's give them the attention they deserve. The Andy Schleck-background is the most popular background until now followed by Michael Rasmussen on the 2nd place and Vinokourov on third. You can see them all right here: http://www.pcmdaily.com/infusions/pro_download_panel/download.php?catid=4
DB TdF 3.1 released A Tour de France-based database, made by Piernic, has been released. Most noticeable change is that all the dopers have been left out (Vinokourov, Moreni, Sinkewitz, etc.). The stats have also been updated according to the riders' performances during the Tour. An updated version of the DB will be released soon, but if you can't wait, you can download the 3.1 version right here.
Hannes Converter - now in 2nd version The PCM Kicker-"look-a-like", Hannes Converter, has gone into its 2nd version. This means that the converter is now save game compatible! It has also got a makeover, making it look much better and more user-friendly. It's still advanced and made for advanced users, but it might be easier to use now. You can download it here. A simple editor has also been released. Read more about it here.
Installation Guide by CrueTrue As promised ages ago, I have written a guide, explaining how to install all the different kinds of files we have available in our download section. It might not explain everything, but it should explain how to install most things. If you experience any trouble you can always ask in our forum Read the guide here!
PPDB 2007 v3 to be released today The third version of PPDB's popular 2007-db for PCM06 is to be released to the public today or tomorrow. It has already been released to the members, One of the new features is the doping "injuries". Riders can now be suspended for doping usage. It will be listed as a injury, and being doped won't have any effect on the riders' performances, but it's a pretty fun add-on anyway. As always, it includes lots of other extras, and if you're a member, get started right away! Go to the PPDB-forum by clicking here. Update: It has now been released to the public.
PCM07 not so bad after all? In our latest poll where you had to give PCM07 a grade from 1-10, it seems that you think PCM07 is a pretty good game despite all the bugs. Top-scorers are "7" and "8" with 15 and 16 % of the votes, meaning that the game is above average. 12 % of you did give the game the lowest score, though, but almost the same amount of people gave the game the highest grade. |
