Here's the usual thread to suggest for new riders to be added; or riders' stats to be modified, as the 2022 ManGame DB is created. This year i'm helping out jph27 as we continue to work on the Inflation situation, most of the below is copied from his thread last year.
Young Riders
2000 is likely to the main year of interest, with some of the top talents from this year yet to be added to the game.
Riders from 2001 can be added too in some individual cases. So feel free to suggest them, but it may be that they are held off for another season. They will however be limited to progressing only to Level 2 in the 2022 season. We do not expect any riders born in 2002 or later years to be added this season.
Older Riders
Riders who are free agents, or part of disbanding teams, can have their stats adjusted - even if sometimes it is just in a minor way.
Examples in the 1997-1999 range are of particular interest, as they can become 'talents' that are not Level 1, which allows more unique stat combinations. Riders of 4.100 can be added or adjusted too.
1989 or older are generally off limits, since these riders have already started decreasing now anyway. However, in special cases an exception may be made - for example, for riders without a Man-Game "history".
Stat Limits
You can suggest riders with any sort of Stats you like. However we reserve the right to make whatever changes we see fit to better suit the game. Do not expect many, if any, riders to Max out above 80/81.
Realism
MG doesn't need to be 100% realistic on stats of riders. Real life results are a useful indicator, and many riders will tend to be aligned to that, but they are not a constraint.
This also extends to rider Nationalities. If you want a Tibetan or Tuvaluan you can suggest them, and we will see what we can do to accomodate your teams needs.
Format
As usual, please post suggestions in the Table Format, using the template file to help: https://www.dropbox.com/s/twh1qwmhhqh...s.xls?dl=0
(Fill in the file, then copy it to the post, and put within the table tags)
Versions of the rider at 4.100 and 1.0 are preferred too.

General Notes
A lot of work is being put into the FA Pool this season to help update it to better suit the current versions of PCM and the MG matrix. Most of this is being based off the current Daily DB, and this will hopefully bring over more of the current peloton into the game.
We want you to be free to make Rider Suggestions, and then once some of the other background concepts are fixed we can make whatever changes are nessesary to your suggestions.
Please remember if you have a non-traditional National/Regional focus for your team, Suggestions are massively important! If you do not make suggestions you will struggle to get quality riders.
Thank you for opening the thread, TMM! I'll start with just a few guys for now, but one of them will arguably be one of the biggest additions this year.
Biniam Girmay
I would have argued for Girmay to be added as a 7 potential guy three months ago already, but he's made it easier on me since then. My argument is threefold:
First, strictly results based: Both on Procyclingstats as well as on FirstCycling, he's second in the U23 rankings behind only Remco. He already had good results last year, winning a 1.1 classic (Besancon) arriving with and outsprinting a group of 5 including Pinot and Quintana, and finished in the Top 5 of three other 1.1 and 1.Pro classics, as well as 2nd place at the U23 Worlds. But obviously, that all pales compared to what he did this season. Winning a Mallorca classic, finishing Top 6 in three Paris-Nice stages, then 12th at Milano San Remo, 5th at the E3 Prijs and capping it off by winning Gent-Wevelgem.
Second, I want to make the case that Africa simply deserves a 7 potential rider. Currently, it only has 2, one of which being Jordan Schleck who maxed out at a 74 Avg (Kudus is the other). That's fewer than any other continent. Africa also has just two 6 potential guys under the age of 25, which is tied with Asia for the fewest. Considering that over the past two season, two teams (my own and Project: Africa) have joined Xero as teams with an African focus, and done so successfully, I think adding a rider with the potential to become actually elite is warranted.
Third, while stat inflation has obviously been a talking point for a while now (rightfully so, to be sure), part of the "we need fewer riders in the 76-79 range" is that we need a top group of guys who are or can be trained to be comfortably above that, and outside of Remco, I don't necessarily see a rider with a higher ceiling in the 2000 class than Girmay. With that, here are stat suggestions:

(Hills, Cobbles, Classics, Sprinter)
Prior to this season, I would have suggested Girmay purely as a puncheur with a strong kick. After what he has done on cobbles this year, I think it makes sense to open up that lane of development for him as well.
With regards to the stats, I want to provide some context. In last year's crop of puncheurs, guys like Ardila, Vansevenant and Romo got stats that maxed out at 80 hill (Ardila could also get up to 81 MO), so I don't think 81 is off the mark. With the cobbles training path, he'd be a similar or slightly worse, depending on your liking, version of non-trained Mads Pedersen (-2 Flat, Res, Spr, Acc; +3 Hi/Mo, +1 Cob). With classics training, he's fairly similar to non-trained Floris Gerts (-2 Flat, -4 Spr, -5 Res; +1 Hi, +1 Co, +3 Acc). I don't think that's unreasonable. I added sprint as well, which would make him kind of a Saber type with slightly better hill stat but worse sprint.
Another option, given his RL successes, might also be to go the Pidcock route, with lower potential but higher starting stats. With 4 potential, he could start at 72 or 73 Hi/Co to reach a similar ceiling as in the examples above. But as euphoric as I've been here, I think Pidcock was a more complete and (maybe) accomplished guy, especially on so many terrains, than Girmay is now, so I wouldn't mind starting Girmay off lower.
After so much praise, let's have some more modest palate cleansers
Negasi Haylu Abreha
Abreha is in his third year with Team Qhubeka. Not a huge talent, but that shows some consistency at a decent level. His best results on .1 level include a 48th place in the Veneto Classic late last year, ahead of a group with among others Nathan Haas and Eduardo Sepulveda, and most recently he finished 33rd in the Giro di Sicilia, including a 36th place on the sole mountain top finish of the race (No worse than 52nd on the other three stages - nothing great, but again, consistency). Plus, he won the Ethiopean NC in 2019. Make him a solid domestique or breakaway candidate on CT level and someone might pick him up:

Renus Uhiriwe
Because the Rwandan 2000 class is pretty bleak, I would like to prepone one of the two 2001 guys that I currently have on my radar. Like Abreha, he rides for Team Qhubeka (second season after two years at Benediction), and like Abreha, he's no major talent. But he's started to show some flashes this year with a 5th place stage finish in the Tour of Rwanda and a 5th place at the African Continental Time Trial Championship. He also finished 16th at the Tropicale Amissa Bongo 2020 ahead of solid pro riders like Victor Lafay or Pierre-Luc Perichon and good ManGame riders like Issiaka Cisse and Mekseb Debesay, along with a string of good performances on the African circuit over the years. He could be useful as either a puncheur or a team time trial element.

I'll keep it at that for now, might add one or two African guys later if needed. I'm curious to see what you think, especially about Girmay of course.
Alex Mengoulas
He has a second nationality (Netherlands) and thus wasn't really on the Greece radar until recently. In reality he isn't much of a rider, but he showed quite some promise in his younger days, and seems to have picked up racing at a respectable level after a break from the sport after a solid Junior/U23 career.
He has some very solid ITT results back in the days matching up against the likes of Norsgaard, Wirtgen etc., and recently finished 2nd in the Greek National TT championships after quite some time away - well ahead of Sakellaridis.
He also have some decent one-day results in both cobbled and semidifficult climbs, and seems pretty well rounded.
As he's already 24 yo I have opted to make him level 2 rather than level 1 to ensure a chance to actually develop at multiple divisions, while also being somewhat locked in not overpowering him due to the versatily.

Panagiotis Karatsivis
Easily the biggest greek talent at the moment. He's born in 2001, but due to the amount of greek riders in the DB I hope he can be added. He will be one of the 4 best greek riders in the database, but will take some time to get there, and as Vlatos, Karatzios and Kastrantas are gone by then, Mavrikakis, Ioannidis, Giannoutsos, Kortsidakis and Farantakis all well up in the age it seems like a reasonable timing for the heir of one of the better lost ones.
Karatsivis can be developped in multiple directions, and offer the potential to become the best puncheur, one of the best timetriallists or one of the best GC/climbers in greek history. In terms of the Man-Game he'll never develop into more than a domestique in either of these roles though. But atleast he offers something interesting to put training money into.

Georgios Kaloniatis
Kaloniatis is a fairly undescribed rider, but seems somewhat well rounded, and with a good solid engine. He has often ridden the races from up front, but being caught, so he seems to struggle with finishing the job. Yet he seems like the best engine in Greece. He's a decent TT'er, like most of the other greek riders, but doesn't have the potential to become the best, as he's more of a bulldozer than a focused rider.
I guess he's best developped as a fighter, but he offers a little mixture of TT, MO and HI aswell without any dominance in either.

Sarris Evangelos
Evangelos is the last on the list, and probably also the weakest. He seems to be among the top 3 fastest greek riders, but as Tzortzakis (Poly) is retiring soon, and Kastrantas not really developped the way he is IRL, Evangelos seems like a decent leadout possibility to take over from the Bouglas brothers. He doesn't seem to be climbing well, but has enough of an engine to possible do a decent TT or cobbled sector.
Overall he is created as a solid domestique in sprints/cobbled races, but could also be one of the weaker links of a TTT setup if that's another path one might want. He's mainly added to keep the level of CT/PCT level greeks up to par.
After a flood of Caribbeans last year my suggestion are substantially smaller:

Joshua Kelly https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/rid...erid=24172- Already in the DB (hence the ID). He's the 2021 Caribbean RR Champion. Multiple time Barbadian NC for both RR and ITT. So my suggestion to move him up to 4.100 XP and raise the stats accordingly. Would make him one of the best regional riders, on a level with Major and Matthews. Gives him some CT possibilities but far from a star rider.
Connor White https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/rid...erid=28768- One of the rare Caribbeans who's associated with an actual Continental level team. The suggested stats combo allows growth in multiple directions, as White seems to be a balanced all-rounder (as are many of these riders IRL due to a lack of races).
Holding back a couple of more significant Talents, for entirely selfish reasons that i don't want to add a good rider when the CT cap would very possibly see them end up on other teams. But i may well be back in another couple of weeks to suggest them and just go for it anyway.
Liam Curley is a young Irish talent racing this year with Evo-Pro. In his own words:
While Liam says he would 'love to do the Tour de France', he admits that one of his goals is to compete in international racing, particularly at events in Belgium.
'I'm an all-rounder, but I love colder weather conditions like you'd get here in Ireland. The Belgian conditions are similar,' he said.
I've made him a real all-rounder but lacking in climbing skills. The Belgian racing dream suggests a classics rider so that's one option. All limited to CT domestique probably
cio93 wrote:
You should remember to suggest Lev Gonov next season!
He's a really good TTer, fine sprinter, and even climbs fairly well. Could definitely go in the Ignatiev direction.
Yes next year should be much better, another rider to remember is Gleb Syritsa; winning Trofeo Arvedi beating Giovanni Lonardi and Nicolas David Gomez is quite something!
Proposing a small bunch of Slovenian talents, which at a rate of 3 rather active Slovenian teams would be nice additions. The pick of the bunch is Matevz Govekar, a hilly sprinter that should become a WT-rider next season.

Firstcycling: Govekar is a very punchy rider for talent factory Tirol KTM. He does well in bunch sprints, but preferrably with an uphill finish (see Porec Trophy). He can do normal bunch sprints too though (see Etoile d'or). He likes to go on the attack in hilly races however, and uses that punch to create some good results, his best in hilly Italian races (see Trofeo Matteotti). His CX and MTB background and late start to the cycling game show massive growth potential. He can either become a sprinter or a puncheur, though right now I'd think he ends up in between. The stats I propose are modeled after the pcm.daily stats for him, with a slight buff in Fl & Mo for usability. As Slovenia lacks this rider type following the decline of Marko Kump, he'd be a perfect fit for the game.
Firstcycling: Skok of Ljubljana Gusto Santic (Pogacars old team) is the other very talented Slovenian from the 2000's. He had his u23-breakthrough with his 5th at Gent-Wevelgem u23, showing his skillset of being reasonably good over hills, cobbles and as a sprinter. His biggest strength is his engine though, that's why I'd propose to make him a fighter. But with his stats he could be a decent domestique anywhere between cobbles, hills and as a leadout. He should become a good support rider in the game.
Firstcycling: Žumer is an attacking allround-type rider that has a blistering acceleration. That made him win the mountains classification at the Tour de Serbia as well as served him well at GP Vipava Valley. He could become a handy attacker, either as an allrounder or as a climber.
Firstcycling: Horvat is a decently talented roleur and leadout sprinter for Adria Mobil (see Belgrade-Banja Luka). He does well at turning the pace for his leaders, thus could become a nice roleur in the game for long turns at the front or attacks in an outsider-role. He could be developed in any domestique role, preferrably as a roleur.

Nothing personal, but I find it very disturbing that the person put in charge of combatting inflation suggests riders like this. Adding more 75+ random riders is the exact opposite what we're supposed to be doing. I understand that from a roleplay pov you want more Caribbean riders, but they should be 71-74 domestiques at best. If every nation in game gets top riders, inflation will never be solved.
(Feel free to move this post if it belongs in the inflation topic)

This is why more than one person does new rider additions. But also suggestions are allowed at any level, and are not just automatically approved.
Equally as an example in this case we'd look at the suggested stats vs the rest of the DB to see if there's an obvious issue. We'll check against other riders from the Nation/Region to see if there's a particular need/gap. That will get compared against the Managers actual investment in the Nation/Region, and against the expected Division competition.
Working all of that through we'll make changes that are believed to best benefit the game. And specifically for my own additions i'll step back and let others (jph) sort out if they are fair or not - in the same way i'll double check over his work on the DB.
_______
Be thankful i'm only making these two suggestions for the year, especially when there is a Puerto Rican in the real world PT i've dabbled with suggesting in the 80's
I'm also proposing Matevz Govekar as a rider to replace Marko Kump who will hit his 2nd decline this year. He's a sprinter that's not averse to climbing. He can be developed as a sprinter that will survive a lot of hills or a speedy puncheur. He's also capable of winning prologues which opens up the Track-Sprint development path.
Archie Ryan is mentioned alongside Ben Healy as the future hope of Irish cycling. He is developing into a strong climber/puncher with impressive results in U23 and .2 races this year like 7th in Istrian Spring and 11th in Fleche Ardennaise.
“I’m a climber, but that doesn’t need to be just in stage races, just anything with a hill. I’ll give it a good crack. I like tough races, I’ll always fancy my chances with a hard day out, a real race of attrition. I’d definitely say my weakness is sprinting. I’m a 55kg rider, there is just not that much power to put down! But I’m definitely working on it.”
A couple of suggestions to start: (apologies for ugly formatting, don’t have enough time to make it pretty)

Firdaus is as promising a rider you can get from Indonesia, and easily potentially the strongest rider I’ve ever suggested as a result. I understand the problem with inflation and not wanting to add riders just to suit certain managers and quotas and what not, but still would like to make this suggestion. After all, it is just a suggestion

Fikri Azka is an all-rounder and is 25. Level three with fairly balanced stats so as to be able to choose a number of different paths. Used Sr and hill purely as examples, but could be developed into a decently unique domestique.
Have three suggestions this year, all Mexican. Two very one dimensional guys that are mainly domestiques with 77 hill (but no TT/cobbles) and 78 TT (but shit mtn/hill stat), and one decent all rounder that is the next Prado, more or less, and should also be a fun domestique with the opportunity to score some depth points/go for a top-30-ish in PCT/PT. Also not maxing too high, to keep stat inflation under control of course. Gave them reasonable physical stats, as I've been giving talents bad physical stats so far, and thought these homegrown boys deserved at least that. Not the best three Mexicans I found results-wise on cycling sites, but I liked their names more and decided to suggest them instead of the guys with better results with boring names. Looking forward to going for them in FA.
Figured I'd add a few German riders as well, even if they're probably already on the radar. Note that these evaluations are from results only, so if anyone watches the German scene more closely, feel free to add/correct here.
Kim Heiduk
Heiduk is a punchy sprinter whose best results include winning the German U23 NC last year, as well as a stage win and several Top 5 results on .2 and NatCup level last year, often on hilly terrain from a reduced group. It's not the most impressive palmares, but on the other hand, Ineos have signed him from this season on, so I wouldn't be shocked if he randomly started to get lots of great results soon. So, that's part of the projection, even if his best result since joining them is a 26th place at the GP Denain. But obviously, he doesn't get many leading roles yet. Ineos have also brought him to quite a few cobbled races including the Ronde, and while he's not been particularly successful at even finishing them, perhaps they see the potential, so I thought it might be neat to give him that option.

Marius Mayrhofer
Mayrhofer is the second German 2000s rider on WT level. He won a lot of races as a Junior and came second only to Remco at the 2018 junior worlds. Last year, he had a couple of really impressive results, including finishing 3rd at a stage of the Coppi a Bartali behind only Mareczko and Cavendish; beating among others Alexander Kristoff at a stage of the Deutschland Tour where he finished 5th from the bunch behind guys like Greipel and again Cav; and finishing 5th at the German NC. This year, his first with the main DSM Team, he scored an 11th place at the Volta Comunitat Valenciana and three Top 10s at the Tour de Hongrie.

For both of these, a lot depends on how you guys plan on stating sprinters from now on. Both fall into that 77 to 79 range that should be thinned out, so perhaps give them one or two points less in sprint, or in the case of Mayrhofer lift him to 79 so he can be trained into an elite rider. Then again, his results don't justify stats that are comparable to the likes of Hodeg or Halvorsen, to name some examples of recently maxed guys.
Florian Lipowitz
Moving on from sprinters, Florian Lipowitz looks like just a pretty solid climber. He scored a 3rd place finish at the Valle d'Aosta and finished 5th overall there and 14th overall at the Tour de l'Avenir last year, but perhaps more noticeably he showed he can compete at the highest level with multiple Top 30s in mountain stages at the Tour of the Alps both last year and this. Should be a useful rider as a domestique at higher level or leader (if those mountain stats will end up being leader material again) in CT.

Felix Engelhardt
His teammate Felix Engelhardt is more of a puncheur. He finished Top 3 in several .2 and NatCup classics as well as 10th at the 1.1 Trofeo Matteotti against decent competition. He's seems reasonably quick and can climb okay if need be. Not a top talent, but a good rider.
Another few to suggest. Firstly, Hoang is Vietnamese. Wanted to suggest a few non-level 1 riders.
Chiu is quite a balanced rider with one year of development left. Hill or cob training paths can turn him into a pretty handy domestique and he would be useful.
Jumchat is a decent sprinter, and ideally would become a gun leadout rider. Thai and SE Asian sprinters tend to be glass cannons (high sp + acc, low energy stats and 50's mo + hill) so I thought it might be nice to add Jumchat as a solid option to break the mould a bit.
Hoang is a little similar to Chiu, but not as versatile. He would become a run of the mill puncheur with decent enough energy stats and a slight sprint ability to set him apart a little as he can be used in flat stages as part of a train also.
Kusuma is a TT rider who can hang on long enough uphill to contest stage races. He's very strong against the clock, so possesses great energy stats and flat. He would be a key cog in a teams TTT set up and all round would be an interesting rider to add to the game.
