In total 14 teams wanted to get at least one wildcard to the PT! 9 of them asked to race a GT. This made it pretty difficult to get all teams right.
3 teams missed out on a GT of course. Those were Fastned, DuckDuckGo and Popo4ever. Those were either long-term PT lately or having lots of GTs in the earlier past. Therefore those teams got an additional race or higher priority elsewhere.
This year the Vuelta had lots of interest, which is opposite to what we had in the last couple years. The Giro instead was of rather low interest in comparison.
And same for the classics and stage races. A lot of interest was obviously in the Paris-Nice, Tirreno-Adriatico double. Well suited and high in race days. So we needed to balance this as good as possible.
The different number of wildcards comes mainly from the package paid or from the reasons above.
In the end all potential wildcards are given to PCT teams. So all PT races will race with 24 teams next year.

Giro, here we come
Would have preferred TdF, but guess we'll save that for another year then
Really happy with getting RvV, Macskako and Appia, should give Eddie the chance of kicking the PT cobblers' butts one last time (if he isn't planned in clashing races, that is - not sure yet)
Paris-Nice and the (T)TT classics should be a nice fit for us as well, guess I can't complain with my wildcards! And most importantly, this means that we can level up Schmid and still keep some useful RDs for him

Not riding a GT certainly sucks... But at least Tirreno, Lombardia and Liechtenstein should be good fun with my team, not sure what we can do in the other races, but we'll give it a go to annoy as many of you PT elitists as possible again

Happy with our two stage races. No race clashes and a good test for our upcoming talents. Also happy to see fellow American team McCormick riding in the Tour!

Competition for some cobbled classics got predictably tougher with these wildcards. Can't complain though when I've had Trentin winning PT classics and Vanspeybrouck taking monument top 5's in the past - part of the game.
This may actually affect my GT planning. Areruya in the Giro is nightmare fuel.

This is awesome! We'll have a good showing with Spengler and Buchmann in the classics, while also having a high number of race days for our development riders. Couldn't be happier. Congrats to other managers who landed their desired races.

Happy with that! Good opportunities for Stallaert to prove himself, and some for Meintjes as well in Paris-Nice and Liechtenstein. Happy to share three of our six opportunities with our friends from Jura GIANTS - Theuns can have the upper hand here and Stallaert takes the PTHC/HC races, yes?

Not the best bit of news for us, but it would be naive to think we could have a good number of wildcard race days. Nederland and Tasmania will have to suffice. Congrats to other managers!

Fastned basically adding a second calendar to their PCT one We didnt apply for any as we dont really need the exp, as we aim to loan out our level 4s next year most likely anyways and spent the money to notch Turgis a point in TT instead. Would like to try my hand at a GT one day but not this year!

I’m keen to get Bobridge to Tasmania! I want to give him 1 last attempt!
Good wildcards for us! Keen to get into the PT and get the team colours seen on the world stage!

Feel very fortunate to get our first choice as it was the best fit for us on a lot of fronts.
Looking forward to it, hopefully the team will live up to the honor.

Back in a GT for the first time since 2018. Got Vuelta, which was our first choice
