The Giro di Lombardia ends the regular season and the final PT Rankings are here.

Gazelle winning ahead of Grieg was almost secured with Puma following as 3rd.
Congrats to DubbleDekker for this huge acchievment, not many do reach.
Also huge podium for tastasol after years of slowly climbing up the ranks with Puma more or less having expected more I guess.

Air France with a bold move in the final race. Boasson Hagen winning delivered them lots of points. Enough to climb from 9th to 4th! Nice one for CT.
Isostar remains 5th as they scored decent as well here.

This means Aker Mot goes down the ladder and so does Generali. They end up 7th and 8th with Roman`s Moser team at 6th.

Festina and Aegon complete the top10 with Bennelong and eBuddy the best of the rest.

While Tinkoff, Vesuvio and Evonik are save and also Indosat kind of was before, the relegation zone was intense.

Best scoring in the Lombardia was SPAR with Lutsenko and T-Mobile with Guldhammer. But due to SPAR`s advantage already and the better scoring, they remain PT while T-Mobile only climbs up to the unwanted 18th, the first spot to relegate...with them Farfetch, Repsol and Fablok very close to each other while Podium Ambition going down as last. For those a rebuild is needed to make it back into PT as soon as possible.

Bewley best cobbler/sprinter/robot at 6th dropping quite a bit lately with the others scoring while Madrazo for once having a successful season again in 7th and being key for Gazelle`s PT title.

Kritskiy also havinga big season while Wisniowski showed his full potential to become Bewley`s biggest challenger in the classics.

Sicard to complete the top10 befor ePonzi as next puncheur.
Groenewegen in 13th remains best sprinter of the PT.

Top10 here as my goal is great in total.

Never expected this pre season with being in danger of relegating actually. Decided to replace Swift with expensive ageing stars such as Keinath/Velits and Paillot as well.
First two really paid back with top performances a lot of times making such ranking possible. Paillot in the end not doing as impressive as hoped unfortunately.

Groenewegen though the most impressive being a standout rider in almost every race he entered. Really carried the team, which was often let down by De Bie as biggest disappointing rider of the year for the team.

Add Zardini, Olivier, Boom, Dekker, Vesely, Van der Poel all with excellent performances regularly with also loanie Eiking, Van der Horn and Thurau going above 100 points scored.

Point wise Koep 99 with 3 GTs once again a bit underwhelming but he is already inventar in the team, so he stays...Hugenhaben, Dumoulin, Frison, Sbaragli all could have done better but still were doing valuable as mainly helper tasks.

Congrats Dubble Dekker for this impressive win and all those that feel happy with their position, in especially SPAR while kind of sad to see couple of good managers going down to PCT.

Thanks to all reporters and helpers in the background! Otherwise this game couldn`t survive but it was nicely carried this season, in especially in kind of reporting, where I reduced the amount drastically myself.

thats an ridiciously low amount of points we needed, happy with that

We had a crap transfer season and not many options, so thats why I'm surprised my fellow promoters managed to do so well.

Congrats to Gazelle, awesome work

Thanks for a great season, PT was everything it promised to be and now I can look forward to build a new team, with a foundation the PT experience provided us with. I feared PT wouldnt be as fun as PCT, but it sure did. Thanks to all the reporters and admins on the forum. Keep it up guys!

Congratulations Gazelle! Amazing season for the boys in blue!

Battle at the bottom was very interesting, SPAR surviving with a major haul from Lutsenko. Sorry for all the teams heading back to PCT next season, they'll have to beat us again.

3 Top100 riders is actually not that bad, if we had one more PT level leader we would have been great! That 300k spare cap space helps going down, as does shedding some inflated FA wages. Can't wait to go back to PCT, the best division where our unique skills (only flat!) will shine!

Still shocked we weren't last going into the GT's, still shocked we were not further off the rest of the field. Genuinely close to making the all-flat PT team work. Small tweaks to make.

Barely anything to do in transfers, might we finally have enough money to train someone Shock

Heartbreaking to miss the Top 10 again.. Bobridge as the main reason, of course, as he yet again managed to disappoint, when being in a nice position prior to Tasmania's final TT.. His season was simply horrible. Not sure, what to do with him in the future. Obviously his wage should receive a huge cut at least...

Congrats to Gazelle and all others, who had a great season. And of course a huge thanks to all the reports, who made this another smoothly running campaign with enjoyable reports all the time.

Big congrats to DD! All in all a great season for Gazelle and a fully deserved win.

Also a great season for us, way above out expectations. To get second place with a half decent sprinter and more or less no hilly riders should mean that we can get even better if we manage to build our squad even more.

Especially Wisniowski and Stake Laengen outperformed our expectations, but hopefully they won't be too hard on us in the renewals!

Thanks for all the work from the people working with this wonderful game Smile

Thanks for providing all stats all year roturn. We are happy to have reached the Top5 at the end, but we've been clearly underwhelming all year given the fact we were quite high on everybodys list concerning potential PT winners.

So happy for bikex that he avoided relegation. Congrats to DD, what a beautiful squad.

Kump and Mohoric better get half their wages cut. Kump between Chernetskiy and Teuns in the rankings says all about the atrocious season of our World Champ. Mohoric loosing 1/3 of his points despite going +2 hill in training...

The 350-400 pts lacking from Coquard was the difference between 3rd and 9th.

Well it looked inevitable that we would relegate for all but about a week this season so I guess I can't be too disappointed, but it's still pretty disheartening. Third relegation from the PT in 5 seasons, surely must be some sort of record?

A look at the individual rankings tells you all you need to know about how we ended up here. Yates performed about as expected and Kemboi and Carthy had good seasons, but Monsalve and Cattaneo were pretty disappointing, and McCarthy had an absolute horror show. McCarthy can be explained by PCM 18 AI, and Cattaneo is always inconsistent (though his Herbiers and Vuelta performances were dreadful), but Monsalve was a strange one.

Not really sure where we go from here. Unlike the other relegating teams we don't have a potentially dominant PCT rider in our squad (e.g. Kudus, Ponzi, Fiedler, Ewan), nor do we have any real cap flexibility - even losing Cattaneo leaves us with 280k of savings to find, made harder with a load of riders maxing this season. I don't particularly fancy another yo-yo season, so expect we'll tear up the existing core (bar Yates, Carthy and Kemboi) and sign talents with the cap space ready for a season or two of PCT mediocrity. Or start again from scratch, which is also tempting.

Congratulations to Gazelle on a fantastic season, and to SPAR on staying up after a hard fight - glad we had you worried for the last few weeks there Bikex Pfft

Thank you all! I love this wonderful game so it is a great joy and honour to join its 'hall of fame'. Major respect to the people who make it all possible; the admins and reporters.

This season many puzzle pieces fell into place for us and it lead to two absolutely monumental highlights in the history of the team: winning the ProTour and Tour de France.

Most important is of course the resurrection of Angel Madrazo. I'll be honest: there have been moments in the past where I was close to giving up on him and we even got as far as probing interest from other teams. One could argue that keeping faith for another season was reckless naivety, but apparently sometimes that does pay off.

Then our cobble-gobbler Teunissen managed to top his already impressive first season. Mike is just very hard to drop if the road is flat and cobbly.

Steven Kruijswijk is a unique rider. He is never the favourite for the race or stage, but he also never fails to score proper points. Mountains, hills, TT(T)'s, cobbles; it does not matter to him. Last season he produced 575 points on a 125k wage. This season, his last before decline, he peaked at 642 points. We are going to miss you in this shape, Steven.

Maybe there is actually hope for Kruijswijk next season though. Ian Bibby has recently declined and I fully expected this to take away his edge. But the absolute madlad proceeded to produce his best PT season with us so far, scoring 558 points.

Davide Formolo. We picked him up as a youngster in 2014 and since maxing he's been a solid squad member. The extra training we gave Davide during the previous off-season definitely lifted him to the next level though. It's a good feeling to see this home-trained rider get very close to a top 50 place in the individual rankings.

Another rider fully developed by Gazelle is Patrick Konrad. This guy has always been humble, doing great support work in hills, mountain and TTT's for just 70k wage. This year he gave our title bid a significant boost by contributing 358 points as a domestique. That's a top 100 performance!

Of course there were also some disappointments: most notably hill captain Ginanni, who got outscored by 13 other Gazelle riders. But there's actually a positive aspect to Francesco's presence in the team this year. Without him some people might've seen this PT win as a result of the PCM 18 MO/HI change hitting many competitors. So having one of our three main leaders completely taken out by this issue adds legitimacy to the title. It's a weird consolation for Ginanni, but it's the only one I can give him right now.

All in all it was an incredibly enjoyable season full of highlights and examples of great teamwork, expertly brought to life by the reporters. Leaders Madrazo and Teunissen put the groundwork in place, but it was the collective behind them who eventually clinched the title. Looking forward to next season already!

Really, really happy with thisseason, all in all!

We survived and avoided the fight to avoid relegation after Taaramäe's Vuelta, eventhough it looked quite difficult pre-Vuelta. Even ending inside the top 10 is a bonus and a goal completed, but after the bad season opener in Tirreno-Adriatico, Taaramäe luckily decided to show just what a class rider he is.

Swift on the other hand was a disappointment, but very nice that other riders stepped up when we needed them to, like Galta's huge Tour de France, but also Vangstad in Suisse was a surprise and some very nice points, and the same goes for Tvetcov's solid riding in Portugal.

Congratulations on the title, DubbelDekker! Quite a unique team you've built, and very nice to see you claim the reward and the title. Well done! Smile

Also well done by Lutsenko and SPAR, saving themselves in the final race of the season. It's a pity to see the teams that got relegated actually go down, but surely they'll be able to bounce back if that is what they want.

Congrats DubbelDekker!
Thank you for everyone who made another season possible!
During transfers I knew it was a gamble going allin for Lutsenko and getting him straight to 83 HI. So it wasn't that much of a surprise for me to close to the relegation zone, but after a season with disappointing results in almost any race and still surviving, I feel like I did a better job building a PT team than thought.
In the end I only have two stage wins and a few second places. Lutsenko obviously suffered a lot from acc not counting as much as in PCM15. Also besides him, it felt like a pattern in my team that my riders underperformed when it counted the most: David losing 15 minutes in the hilly stages in ToNE, while someone like Walsleben hold on - Guerao being nowhere in pure sprinter stage races after he showed what he is capable of in Qatar, where it didn't matter with the TT - Leung after being one of the best scorers on loan at Porto last season, having only one good Prologue - ...

Thanks - it got really close in the end after your team suddenly started to get some good results, but in the end I was also a little bit lucky with Lombardia and Herbiers going my way. Smile
I also have to thank you because only with the Zhupa deal it was possible for me to train Lutsenko to 83. Could've made the difference in the end. Wink

Congrats DubbelDekker!

The season ended the way it was looking all year, we were not nearly good enough. Didn't manage to replace the points from Rein with depth and the team in general dissapointed me. No we got to start planning for a season with much less wage...

alexkr00
And that concludes another season where we miss out on the top 10.

Dombrowski and Grosu performed as expected, Edy perhaps even a bit better than expected. A rider that definitely exceeded expectation was Brambilla, mainly thanks to that amazing Vuelta performance.

Gerts was slightly worse than expected, same for Van Poppel, while Boswell had his worst season so far. Only on a very few occasions did he perform as expected, being way below par for most races.

Thank you to everyone involved in running another exciting season of the ManGame despite some adversities caused by the new PCM version.

Congrats DD. After many years in the top division it was finally your turn to claim the crown and it was quite a convincing victory. Sticking with Madrazo payed up big time, but it was definitely a team effort from what is the most complete line up in the game when it comes to climbing of any sorts.

Massive congrats to DD for taking the title! Gonna be interesting to race against the 4 relegators who I believe we raced against in 2018 PCT! Also looks like there are going to be some massive undertakings for specific teams to match their expected performance in standings for next year, let's hope it trickles down.
