 Giro dell'Emelia
While half of the division's top puncheurs are in Switzerland, the rest are over the border in Italy for the Giro dell'Emelia.  Claeys,  Kelderman and  Beltran headline a field that is much stronger than can be found in Lugano, while  Machado,  Bennett and Marquez are also here hoping for a hard race which would suit the pure climbers.

Quietly very hopeful about Bennett here, depends on the race but I had a feeling during planning which I share now that the MO/HI climbers can do very well here - going to be very very hard to win with that hypothesis because of Beltran, but I think it could be a great final race for him. That or anonymous 19th

Our third HC wildcard of the year - clashing with the Lugano one... But with the race taking place not too far away from our focus region, we had to apply for a wildcard - and we got it. So that makes a home race for our Italian climbers - who we send here, as can see in the climbers list. I've got no idea what to expect - but I guess given the very strong start list, our best bet should be a breakaway, just like in Switzerland. Let's see how it goes...

Certainly hard to ignore Beltran in these races as a likely favorite, but I don't feel the climbing here will be too hard on many of the riders and expect the true puncheurs to have a good chance, Kelderman jumps out as my favorite behind Beltran.

I'm hoping for a top 200. With JJ as leader, it's not a guarantee.
All these fall classics were a bad way for us to end the season. Had some hope built up after America, but then you remember that this is how our final racedays are being spent.

OK, it definitely wasn't a race for climbers, meaning we didn't have any chance. A shame that our best puncheur, Masnada, apparently had a really bad daily form. The worst part of the race was not even trying to get into the breakaway, but well, maybe next time. Two pointless races on one day really sucks, though.

(I Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a Eruopcar-rider fighting at the finish line. Of course it was only Matthews dropped with one lap )

Well that paid off awfully, not how I expected after testing and a quiet goodbye to Bennett's 2019. Going to be very tough to cling onto the top 10 after this past month but it could be worse obviously so not a disaster.

Best result for Kelderman in a one day race all season, yet only 4th. A single podium race result all season with one race to go. I'm sorry, but I can't be happy with this.
