Sixteen sectors of hard cobbles on an otherwise mostly flat route is what await the riders heading to Norway for the Lillestrom GP. The cobbles specialists will be looking to make the race hard over the multiple cobbled sections, while those capable of a fast finish, will be looking at their teams to keep the pace low over the stones and make their mark in a bunch sprint finish.
| FLA | COB | SPR | ACC | Kluge | 78 | 77 | 77 | 75 | Ferreira | 73 | 79 | 71 | 69 | Drucker | 74 | 77 | 74 | 75 | Breen | 77 | 77 | 73 | 72 | Zhupa | 75 | 77 | 74 | 68 | Domene | 73 | 76 | 74 | 75 | Matthews | 72 | 75 | 76 | 76 | Kulppi | 73 | 77 | 65 | 70 | Veelers | 71 | 75 | 73 | 72 | Machado | 69 | 79 | 62 | 61 | Van der Haar | 77 | 75 | 72 | 70 | Taubel | 73 | 78 | 61 | 64 | Joseph | 74 | 76 | 66 | 70 | Grand | 72 | 77 | 65 | 65 | Grashev | 68 | 75 | 65 | 73 | Eeckhout | 72 | 77 | 64 | 57 | Verbist | 75 | 75 | 56 | 64 | Vandenbergh | 73 | 75 | 59 | 59 | Cominelli | 70 | 75 | 59 | 58 | Ruiz | 71 | 75 | 58 | 58 |
Roger Kluge, already in scintillating form this season, starts as the top favourite for this race. His perfect combination cobbles and sprint prowess, along with supporting stats are perfect for this profile.
Ferreira will look to continue Rothaus - Aegon's good run in classics, and is another major contender for the win in this race.
Drucker, Breen and Zhupa are very similar riders on this kind of terrain, and all three should be in contention for the race win, under perfect circumstances.
Domene, Matthews and Kuulpi should be considered podium contenders for this race, as all three possess the combination of stats required. Matthews perhaps the rider closest to Kluge in terms of the COB-SPR combo!
Machado and Taubel are very strong on the cobblestones but their support stats leave a lot to be desired and might ultimately lead to being a disadvantage for this race.
The likes of Veelers, Van Der Haar, Joseph and Grand are among the other riders that should be challenging for a Top 10 finish.
| FLA | COB | SPR | ACC | Colbrelli | 74 | 59 | 79 | 75 | Korzh | 74 | 62 | 78 | 80 | Szalontay | 69 | 62 | 78 | 77 | Jørgensen | 73 | 60 | 78 | 73 | Westling | 70 | 60 | 78 | 74 | Kluge | 78 | 77 | 77 | 75 | Lovassy | 68 | 73 | 77 | 77 | Nielsen | 68 | 59 | 77 | 78 | Giacoppo | 70 | 54 | 77 | 75 | Jaser | 73 | 53 | 77 | 75 | Matthews | 72 | 75 | 76 | 76 |
Kluge and Matthews, as already mentioned, are the sprinters with the best cobbles stats. Lovassy is another who could pull of a surprise if the race comes down to a bunch sprint, with the stronger sprinters tired from the cobblestones.

If there is a race Eeckhout can perform well it's here, may the gods be with him.

Hoping Zhupa can bounce back with another top result

Hoping for a good result from Breen on home soil, but Kluge will be very hard to beat should it come down to a sprint. Really need Van der Haar and Evert to make this a selective race!

Congrats to Cerveceria, Kluge is near untouchable, but we'll take that 2nd place from Zhupa all day long
Getting a man into the break seems to always be a good sign
Thank you for the report Abhishek

Quite a pity that a race with 30-40 % of cobbles does end in such a huge group together.
Ferreira as the divisions top cobbler has not shown a lot yet. Obviously Kluge is the better all around rider and deserves to be the better scorer, but feels weird to miss the top10 even that many times with a 79 cobbler.
Thanks for the report! |

Zhupa delivering again, what a rider he is this season, eventhough Slovenian sponsors may hate the fact that an Albanian is performing the best of their balcan approach.

Nah, the Slovenian sponsors are happy either way. The Serbians on the other hand..

3 in the top 20 is decent depth even if it isn't massive scoring, considering how the race panned out its an acceptable result as the guys aren't the best in a sprint.

That pretty much goes in the books as a training ride. Kulppi needs a much more selective race in order to really shine.

Nice to race on home soil. Pretty decent result also with a 16th place for Lilholt. Clearly some positives to take away from that.

Apologies for dredging up 'old' race reports, but just catching up on some of the action in other divisions, and can't believe nobody has picked up on the super-heroic performance of Becherovka - Petrof's Maral-Erdene delivering 6th place for an Amateur team here amongst the divisions cobbled terrain-masters.
Who-da-Fck is this Maral-Erdene guy I am sure you are now wondering?
Perhaps more commonly known to readers as The Batmunkh, pre-season interest in securing his signature after he was un-earthed in a Mongolian monastery upon completing a vow of 5-years continuous silence now seems highly warranted .
