Nostalgia seeing that first squad with Kessiakoff f.ex. Pfft
Aswell as the sponsor choice, loved the Klöden,Vino and Ullrich in TdF.
Well that was when I still was young naive and did not know anything about doping Pfft

Good luck for the upcoming season!

The new management team

This team has been around for many years now, starting as a small Scandinavian team, turning into a Pro-continental German team, promoting, relegating and promoting again. Now after finishing the last season in the PT with the goal of staying up, and achieving that goal.

There has been many good riders on the team, riders like Flügel, Marzano, Reus, Keizer, Sella, Pozzatto and more. None of the however could come close to the pure riding power of last years leader Rein Taaramäe. This also leads to the a big change for the team, for the first time ever we have a rider capable of winning a great tour, and after several crashes he failed in the Tour de France last year. To avoid this happening again we need to bring in more help, both in the form of riders and management.

The fact that we managed to bring in a rider like Rein Taaramäe, also pulled an old cycling sponsor into cycling again. A sponsor with a lot of history, and a sponsor with some old contacts.

Thus, let's present our 2 new Sports Managers / Coaches who will specially work towards winning a grand tour this season

Jan Ullrich

Former TDF (and 3 times White Jersey) winner
Former Vuelta winner
Former Olympic Champion
Twice World ITT Champion

"Ulle" will join the team to support and lead Rein. Giving the team immense experience and should be really important to help us reach the most important goal of the season.

Andreas Klöden
p5.focus.de/img/fotos/origs472430/8569717696-w630-h403-o-q75-p5/Kloeden-1707.jpg

Former 2nd Overall TDF
Olympic Bronze Medalist
Paris-Nice Champion
Tour of Basque Country Champion

"Klödi" the other former super-rider joining us, a rider you could depend on for many years he bring mountains of experience. He will join the team and really be able to bring our team to the next level.

Press conference coming up soon, if there are any questions for "Ulle" or "Klödi", please post them here or send them by pm

Jersey reveal

Once again we contacted the great designer the_hoyle, and once again he delivered. A jersey paying respect to the classic design, yet modern, will be used by our riders this season. We thank the_hoyle for his (once again) fantastic work

Pink seems to be all the rage these days, I guess that's what real men wear. Pfft

Good luck as the team continues to be built out for a period of consolidation in the PT.

Renewals

Another round of renewals and some riders have agreed to sign new contracts that should help the team develop further. We are really happy that many riders wanted to take paycuts to help the team strenghten this year.

Some riders have decided to leave the team even before the real transfer season begins and we wish Lucas Schädlich, Daniel Schorn, Enrico Franzoi and Jan Dieteren much luck in the future.

The new wages are:

Transfer news

As a team we are looking to do a changeup this year, that means when transfer season starts nearly everyone is open for sales and transfers. That includes riders like Mattia Cattaneo, Alex Dowsett, Andreas Stauff, Hermann Pernsteiner, Willi Willwohl, Daniel Paulus, and maybe Ruben Zepuntke.

In return we are looking for all kinds of riders, but in general we are looking to strenghten the team to do as good as possible in the PT this year, but we will never turn down a good talent. We are open for having a lot of fun this year!

Goodluck with your transfer clear-out, your team's always had some of my favourite MG riders from its inception so I hope you can bring in some more super-likeable riders Smile

Thanks, I was quite happy myself. One of the teams from when I started watching and I've missed their distinctive jersey
