Starting the thread with last month's news update. Lieuwe Westra admitted buying his first pro-victory in 2009 and has fully opened the book about the use of several more performance enhancers.

That's what you get for breaking the 8th Commandment. Yahweh punishes those who steal GT wins.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Vuelta a San Juan winner Gonzalo Najar tested positive for CERA during the race. These South American guys ought to have heard of marginal gains by now, I don’t understand. |

Most annoying thing is that they first tweeted it 3 months ago but it took until now to have the name and it`s not 100% official yet neither... |

Glad little riders are getting caught, but it's nothing new really. Meanwhile a five time grand tour winner looks like to get a free pass with all this waiting around and is parading around in Israel/Italy. Trust in the system reestablished lol.

Adam Hansen confirmed he will not ride the Tour, thus breaking his streak of consecutive Grand Tour starts (and finishes, if I remember correctly). |

So topics of the day:
Astana secured until 2020. I don't really like sketchy Vinokourov but I'm glad the team is continuing, now if we're lucky BMC will too.
Froome's case has seen an advancement on his advantage, showing that Salbutamol testing can have flaws.. just letting ya'll know no doping discussions needed

Holy moly you're right.
"The study was performed by researchers at the Centre for Human Drug Research in Leiden, the Netherlands, and led by Jules Heuberger, who last year published a study on the effects of EPO, concluding that it did not improve performance."
Well, that says it all

BMC to become Deloitte - Giant when the current deal ends this year. This then expects Deloitte to move away from Dimension Data. GVA and Dennis apparently are committed to staying on, but the change in sponsor may well see less Europeans on the team. Not sure on what Dimension Data will do, hopefully they've got options to maintain their level...

Dimension Data would be better off as Pro-Continental team IMO. It is obvious that they're nowhere near the World Tour level they pretend to have. Also they will not sign foreigners for the sake of staying in WT as they remain faithful on supporting African riders and preparing them for the big stage. Also, Giant would leave Sunweb after the best season for the team ever (Giro and ITT Worlds for TD and TTT World title for the team)?
If DD does move down wonder what would happen with Cavendish? With Tokyo 2020 around the corner and the string of bad luck this year on the road, I think that Cav may reduce his road racing activities in exchange for preparing for the track cycling portion of the Olympics.
