Yeah, will be interesting to see how he goes.
Should be a sprint today, despite the cat 3 climb towards the end. Will Bouhani, who seems to have been stripped of all of his train after recent performances, show some backbone and speed and bounce back? Will one of the up and coming or lesser fast men take their chance...or will Valverde start trouncing everyone already in a bunch sprint?

It is promised. Gaudu to rise.

Movistar and Cofidis are controlling the race so far. Turek, Molina, Grivko, Bohli and Ezquerra in front. |

It will very likely be a big bunch contesting the win unless something dramatic happens...

Only 2015 was a break though in stage 1

2015 was clearly a vintage year...the smart money is on this show from stage 2 of that year or better yet stage 7 Valverde>Coquard

Nice find. That was his tapering ride from just 2 days ago! What am I saying Balaverde doesn't need to taper he just pushes on in January and off in November...maybe without the off part?

Ah, it was looking good but picture breakup already now. Understandable given the clear blue skies...

I've had worse 4 point picks than Hodeg in Velogames

Movistar drilled it for forever on the downhill, especially Rojas but also the likes of Soler even so, unsurprisingly, all in for Valverde it seems. Impressive turn of speed after a perfect leadout for Hodeg, no-one even close.

Very true...but unfortunately about a third of teams have him Wonder how many don't have Valverde?

And still I had doubts in picking him, I never make the right choices impressive kid, nice to see new talented Colombians showing up in terrains different from the mountains |
