Two Stage Making Questions

Hoping someone can help me with these two:

1. How do wallhouses work? When I bring that up and generate an area it is just an empty square. I can get the village option to work but can't figure out how to get the sidewalks or wall houses? Seen how other stagemakers use it so well but can't figure out the magic sequence of clicks.

2. In PCM17 sometimes when I rebuild cities, many of the buildings have black blocks on one or more facings even when you zoom in close (it looks like what you get when a city is a long way away). These blocks persist in the game. Happens to some city areas and not others. Anyone run into this and know a fix? Wondering if it is my graphics card not cutting it.

1. To make the classic, non-village wallhouse work you need to stretch your area over an already made road (needs to cross a road).

2. These black auto-cities always appear when they are made too far away from your route. Best solution is to create the city using isolated objects. It will take longer, but as it's far off-route you don't need to spend too much time on details.

These are just guesses from my experience with older versions of the game, hope it helps.

Thanks that is helpful. My cities aren't that far from the route although definitely is ones not directly on the route.
