[2017] PTHC Teams Revealed

The new PTHC category was less of a question if full startlists or not. All of them will be 24 teams and hence the question of all PT and PCT managers was more to get their top priorities.
In the end most got really lucky (or not if tactically used a different order). Of 48 managers 44 will get their top2 priorities as the teams balanced it out very well.
Only 4 managers need to get their 1-3 priorities.
Also the PCT and PT balance out nicely.
Band 1 with the longest event with the Volta a Portugal sees 12 teams of each division including the two Portuguese teams Porto Prio and Berg Cycles.
Band 2 sees the biggest advantage for PCT teams with 16:8 for them. Deutschland and Norway apparently not interesting for PT managers. That said Norway with a Vuelta a Espana clash.
Band 3 sees an interesting scenario as the California Tour clashes with the Giro d'Italia and hence startlist issues for PT teams. Still 11 of them are here challenging 13 PCT managers.
Band 4 is the only with more PT managers. Though 13:11 only. Small advantage in this mountain less band.

Top 2 choices granted, that's great news. The management is very happy about the Bands results in general and this will be a big morale boost ahead of the transfer season.

Happy to see my team get Band 1 and Band 4, as it was the top two choices.
Very excited to see how the racing in PTHC plays out, as it has everything needed to become a great success in terms of interaction between PT and PCT, but also likely to be very competitive with no stats limits for PT teams and all bands filled up with 24 teams. |

I expected to get my 3rd priority actually...hence not fully happy with the outcome.
In especially as after some more thinking I found my 3rd priority the best as I didn`t really check for race clashes and now got the Giro and Vuelta clash.
Obviously rushed this a bit too much but in the end still suited races and just need to see how to plan my race leaders now. |

Great news for most teams including us here. Very interesting that band 2 was rather unpopular amongst PT teams, that'll surely help our cause. Portugal will be fun as always.

I'm one of the third choice teams with Vesuvio but not too disheartened - was a bit of a toss up between 2nd and 3rd choice anyway.

There's only one race Incan possibly win without having to throw Spilak or Lecuisinier in the mig, and I got that. Nothing else really matters. My 2-3-4 priorities would be similar to be honest. Portugal doesn't suit our team, so not getting that is good though. All other races are fine. Clashes doesn't matter too much, as I have the possibility to chase different things. And no matter how I plan I can't be competitive in 3 Grand Tours anyway.
Looking forward to seeing this play out. And thanks for adding this btw. It makes for an added part of tactical play, Where you have to consider new opponents. I really like that. Will be very interesting to see if the top level riders will for for PTHC races from PT teams or if they have priority on the higher scoring opportunities and whether the PCT chicken out to avoid being smacked by the biggest names.
