Very interesting stage today in the downhill. Looks like it's a breakaway win but maybe some GC guy will attack in the wet downhill

And indeed it's Nibali on the attack

Great win for Trentin. Rojas did an horrible last km.
And great move by Roche, winning 30 seconds

I feel kinda sorry for Rojas, at least he's not coming fourth though.
Eurosport just put a graphic on that screen which showed Chaves and Roche out of the top 5, am I missing something? Because that seems really off.
EDIT: Nevermind, something must've been confusing.

According to the Vuelta organisers today's stage was "transitional" and tomorrow's stage is "Medium Mountains."

Yeah at least he's making progress but his inability to win is just ridiculous.

I really don't know what goes on in the head of Rojas sometimes, no wonder he never wins any races of note outside the odd Spanish nat champs. he clearly has the perfect dom mentality giving Trentin a nice leadout

I'll try and make a habit of hanging around in here and not just in the stats section.
Anyways looking forward to today's stage as it's the first real test for the GT men of this Vuelta and to see if Roche for example can keep up. I remember some years ago he was in a similar position, before getting found out on some of the serious climbs.

A random thought.
Translation: If Simon and Adam Yates swap their race numbers and take turns taking the day off (in the grupetto). Would somebody notice?

Why is Kirby so awfully wrong with names every single time? I know I know, kirby bashing is common, but c'mon, he just needs to think for 2 seconds- I can't believe this guy has a job.

Chaves not following the group, Froome getting an even bigger gap this way... At least Kelderman's doing well
