Former UCI president Hein Verbruggen dies aged 75. He had leukemia.

While Verbruggen was mainly known as controversial because of the Armstrong case, he was responsible for making road cycling at the olympics possible for professional cyclists and for launching the first ProTour (now known as WorldTour) in 2005.

Those rumors have been going around for months and they've consistently been debunked. by the team, sponsors and other reports. So I'll believe it when something reputable comes out.

They will move it to an earlier place in the calendar, possibly on the place of DDV or maybe even before OHN. In my opinion it could be a solid move alltogether. It is weird to have a stage race between all the classics. Bad marketing move.

drie daagse van de Panne - Koksijde will take place in the week after Milano - San Remo (20-22/03/2018). Also the format has changed: first a 2 day race for men and then a one day race for women

As I said, RIP Driedaagse De Panne - Koksijde 1977 - 2017. This new format will last 2-3 years max.

I also don't like the new format but maybe now they can attract better riders because it's less close to RVV

I doubt it, most riders will now try to ride all WT cobble classics and skip De Panne to be ready for E3 on friday. Also it takes some time to recover from the 300 km to San Remo the weekend before. I don't see a lot of potential really.

Chris Froome, Sergio Henao, Vasil Kiryienka, Christian Knees, Michal Kwiatkowski, Mikel Landa, Mikel Nieve, Luke Rowe and Geraint Thomas. This is just scary.

Of course they can, you just need same legs as biggest opponents, the winning margin will be created thanks to perfect team. And i dont think anybody can have much better legs than Froome. Dont be fooled by his Dauphiné or whatever...

I'm just waiting for the beautiful stage were Michal, Mikel and Mikel will slip into morning break in anticipation of Froome attacking early to catch Michal, Mikel and Mikel, so that Michal and Mikel can pace Froome to the final climb and tackle the early slopes before Mikel ups the tempo until Froome accelerates past at 195 revolutions per minute to a summit victory which, of course, he will attribute to Michal, Mikel and Mikel.
