Impossible to create a profile

Hello, i installed PCM2016 on Steam. I write a name profile, my mail address but when i click on "create a profile" nothing happens and i can't to play. Why? |

Have a look in the technical subforum, there is a thread about the same matter.
In short, try again until it works. You should restart the game before trying again. |

Go to the main folder, find the exe file, right click on it and select run as admin. That should solve the problem, it did for me. |

I started as administrator, i closed the game and restarted again but the problem is the same  |

Wow, this is crazy. I can't create a profile either. And no error messages are shown. Nothing happens at all. |

I don't think this is the exact same problem as the other thread. In my case, there's not even the steam auth error message. No reaction from the game at all when pressing the create profile button.
EDIT: Oh wait, never mind. Just had to wait for a while for the error message to pop up. |

No problem, we all have been there and seen it (or should I say, have not seen anything at first).
Just restart the game, and try again. Some have been lucky using the "backspace "trick, I think it is mentioned in the thread as well.

Hi,
I have the same problem. No error message, even when I wait for a long time. I like pcm a lot but these kind of things are just so unprofessional. It is a log in for crying out loud... how is it possible to f*ck this up? |

Eventually, try to change your name by pressing backspace (before or after having clicked on the button)
BTW: It does not help to call it unprofessional, especially not in this forum. Did you ever wonder why Microsoft, a company with thousand of employees never released a single software which was without bugs. Or why Apple released an update which broke old iPads? |

Releasing software with bugs is fine, but the biggest issue is that you cannot bypass this mechanic at all. A mechanic mind you, that is completely unnecessary as a great deal of the game is offline.
I can understand why people are annoyed, but it's nothing to cry too loud about assuming this will be fixed pretty fast. (right?) |

What worked for me was writing the info wait untill the error apears, and then dont click the error, just wait for 5 more minutes, and all your account info will apear in the background. Then press the error |

Thanks, worked for me, too.
Luckily I just tried it two times until I took a look here.

Looks like it just takes an awful amount of time before the game receives your existing account data from the Cyanide/Focus servers. Just waiting for my account info to appear instead of clicking "Create new account" did the trick for me.
Inactive due to personal reasons.
