Adding new rider type in editor?

Is it possible to make it workable? I can add a new xml file in YoungRiderCarac and then add a new specialisation in STA_type_rider but I can't set a chance of a newgen with a new specialisation in STA_region, so I won't get newgens with this specialisation and that's the most important part.
Does anyone know how to make it work?
I think I could be able to solve one of the career's issues if I can add new specialisation that works properly. |

If you open it in excel editor (Rather than lachi's editor or something) you can add new columns (by right clicking the column letters at the top and pressing insert), maybe you want this?
Hopefully you can make this work, it sounds really good.

What I want to do is to add another specialisation which will only generate mediocre riders so we won't be getting so many good riders from exotic countries.
Thanks for your idea, I will try it.
Do you know which exact program could I use? |

Excel Editor V6 in Pcm 12 downloads section. Think you being unable to add columns is indeed related to some issues that Lachi's Editor is having with pcm 15. The cyanide db extractor seems to be bugged and is unable to do certain tasks. Nice idea though

Thanks for your help. I think and hope I will be able to create, test and share a DB that improves some aspects with generating newgens and development of riders within 2 weeks. |

I can't find out how to add a column or change the name of column. When I save the changes and export it to the new db, only values in column are changed. Number and names of columns remain exactly as they were before no matter if I try to add new one or change the name of existing one. |

A new column? I don't believe you can add a new column, in any table.
Why would you need to do that btw?

I think I was clear enough in my previous posts.
I would like to add a new column in STA_region in order to have more possible specialisations for newgens than it is now. Add new or replace one of the useless "gene_f_chance_temp_x_x. Or anything that enables my wish. |

Sorry, I think I misunderstood it then. Adding a new column is impossible I think, and I don't think that if you managed the game would recognize it/its aim.

That's a big shame then. 
So the only thing I can do is to merge 2 of the current specialisations (climber and stage racer would be most likely) and to use the one left for the purpose I mentioned earlier. But it gives me less space for creating a proper system for newgens, unfortunately. |

I tried earlier to make sure what I vas saying worked and managed to add a new specialisation (it comes out as Material purchased for some reason though), I could check tonight if any youth talents are created with that specialisation?

I'm not sure if I understand your message but if you wonder how to do it then:
1. Download this file https://www.filedr...iderblabla
2. Put it in Pro Cycling Manager 2015/Xml/YoungRiderCarac
3. Change it's name to TypeRider_xxx where "xxx" is the name of specialisation you created.
4. Make sure some of the countires have 100% change of generating this your new specialisation in STA_region.
5. Open the game, start new career with custom team, search for riders from country mentioned in 4. If there are some riders with 85 in all skills, then your specialisation works. |
