A thread for you to make any suggestions of things that could be changed or improved for the 2016 MG season.

Not being able to bid on a rider, that your own team just didn't renew with. If you don't want to renew him, why should it possible to get that rider back with cheaper wage?
Everything else seem spot on for me, though I think that since the season is shorter, using Twitter more would be an nice addition, where some reporters might throw away some tweets with their reported races, for instances.

I personally haven't bidded on my own rider that I have released but I think it is something that should be kept in the game. If you try it to decrease the wage of a rider chances are someone will bid on said rider. It is a risky thing to try and I would love to see more people try and fail. Why should someone else get your 100k rider for 50k and not you?

Not ideal. There are reasons. For example if you cut a rider to allow him get a stat update. Then obviously you really want him back. |

Cause if you don't renew with a rider, then you're team doesn't want him enough, that's how I see it

It's happened many times that riders added in the ManGame db with lower stats than their RL actual skills were released by their managers because they wanted to have a better "version" of those riders. Imo it's a no go, it would just be an unneeded punishment.

I'm hoping some of the bigger races in each division could have a "split report" like we had in EPIC (Milan - San Remo here: https://pcmdaily.c...ost_834738 )
It's fun because people can actually start commenting halfway the race already, and it really builds up the excitement!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

But the whole idea behind this season was a short season with short reports? Imo we shouldn't start implementing longer reports again

I remember Oleg doing that for one of the cobbled CT races, was quite cool, although frustrating because it sounded like Gil was going well.
Some races it will be bad though, if there's not much to comment on aside from the break.

It's not necessarily a longer report, it's just split in two or three parts.

^ Why is it always that the 'non-reporters' come up with this idea! |

I do like Sgdanny's idea of increased twitter use. This season I didn't use it much but it's a fast way to let your 'fans' know what's going on compared to an HQ post. So would be nice to see a majority of managers using one or the other, if time and access allows for it.

I think it's mostly because of the Man-Game skype group, that the Twitter use has decreased. Surely it's up to the manager to decide how much to use it

I personally havent done this yet, but I planned to previous season. While Arroyo was offendet by my 150k offer in renewals and while being useful still, there was no way I was gonna pay 350k again for him.
Why shouldnt I have the chance to get him for much cheaper off FA like everyone else laiter then? He endet up at like 100k this season..

I would like it if stagiares could increase a level even if they weren't racing enough. Maybe you could pay a fee of let's say 200K to make him go up a level.
It would make the stagiare-aspect more interesting, as currently we only use stagiares to fill up the teams that need riders, or to have some shitty rider help you in the Tour de l'Avenir.
There are plenty of not too crap stagiares, that could become "decent-ish" riders, but they are still too poor for people to actually want to pay 50K for them, as they might not be worth 50K before they reach level 3 or so.
This season I wanted to try to have a stagiare (for the first time) - Just because... I found the one rider I thought could get up a level, and still be a "decent" rider. Zhihui Jiang. I found that if I planned him to perfection he could get to 2.995 and thus get to level 3.00 because of the round up effect. I was told that there was no rounding up - Fair enough. But had I known that I would not have signed him. It was for the "fun of it" I took him in. To develop him to level 3, and then see if I wanted to sign him on a 50K wage. But a stagiare that is not leveled up will never be worth 50K as there is a reason why people will only pay 10-20K for him.
So a thing could be:
Level 1->2 stagiares cost 1K pr. XP pts they miss to level up. So if he is level up to 1.80 you can get him to 2.00 by adding 20K as a fee.
Level 2->3 stagiares cost 2K pr. XP pts they miss to level up.
Level 3->4 stagiares cost 4K pr. XP pts.
Level 4 riders can't level up as stagiares.
Most stagiares will never become good enough to win races, so there are no reason why they shouldn't get to level up, and become decent domestiques.

Another suggestion:
To avoid inflation in the future (we can't do anything about it right now), talents should never be added with a max of more than 81 in a stat.
Adding a rider that is 21 years old will take 3 seasons to max out, have one season where he can't be trained, and then would take another 2 seasons to get to 85 - And that is just the top top talents. Only few of these pr. season.
Most talents should (imo) max out with 78-79 in their best stat. That way we slowly bring down the inflated stats, and trainings will make them good, but not overpowered.
This also helps teams with a strict national focus, as they can start training their less strong riders and get them to a competitive level.
Like it is now the best ukrainean climber is 78 I think. If we make the best talents 79MO, then it wouldn't matter much that he was 77. He could catch up in one season. And we all know that not all of the best talents are trained every season. So it would make it possible for lesser riders to become "good", because their manager really wanted that to happen.

Absolutely... I'm not going to use my Twitter account. I just don't see the point. Those small and useless updates that can fit, I can well but in my HQ or somewhere else.
