This afternoon I am going to start adding the race planner files into the Dropbox folder for PCT and CT teams.
This will look something like this:
To fill in a rider's schedule, put a 1 in the column for each race you want them to ride. It should look something like this:
Note: That is neither the actual Eritel race calendar, or my race lineups for those races (if I'm even in them)
Column EF and Cells A/D3 will warn you if you have sent a rider to more races than they have race days for. This updates automatically.
Column EI and Cells A/D2 will warn you if a rider is being sent to more than one race at the same time. This only updates when you click the 'Check Race Clashes' button. Once you have clicked that button, wait until a Text Box prompt appears telling you that the check has been completed. You can also check which races clash in the Calendar excel file, or in the Race Profiles forum.
Rows 36 and 37 show how many riders you have sent to a race. The team size is 8 for every race except some of the TT classics. Remember that you must send at least 6 riders to each races.
PCT teams should remember the limits on rider strength for lineups they send to C2 races.
If you are unable to open the .xlsm file, post here and I'll see if an alternative file can be made available.
Any other questions, ask them here too.
The completed file should be saved in the shared Dropbox folder, and you should then PM SN-ManGame to say it has been completed.
Please complete these files as soon as possible, as we will then be able to start the season previews, and then the racing itself!

And while I'm not going to stop you if you do want to post information on where you are sending your riders, I would prefer it if you could refrain from doing so until all planners are in.

Good to see continued strong progress with all the background admin, and excited to get into final stages of race planning.
Can we expect the release of a post-transfer/training database in the near future? - if it was available it would certainly assist with some of the detailed strategising behind race planning.
Thanks .

Well I have to check all team transfer files before sending out a team's race planner. So once all race planners are sent out, that means all transfer files are checked, so all training is known, and the DB can be posted.

Planners now sent to all PCT teams, and all CT teams who have submitted their transfer sheet

Is it normal that I don't even get to the max race days, even for my leaders?
Anyway, I'm done, it was very nice to plan the season, really like this part of the ManGame. Will put it back in the dropbox within 10 minutes |

Had one little mistake with a race clash for a rider, but it's sorted out now!
Should be in order, it's in the dropbox called "Schedule SanCor". |

CT does have quite a few less RD's than last year, but I'd be surprised if good initial race selection, and now planning didn't enable managers to maximise the use of their best assets should they wish to do so (of course the odd RD here and there might not get filled due to the various race durations combined). Everyone has their own unique approach though!

Please don't change the file name when you have completed your planner.
And Ian:
The completed file should be saved in the shared Dropbox folder, and you should then PM SN-ManGame to say it has been completed.

Oh okay taken care of now.
You gotta stay on your guard here at the ManGame, one time it's saying in the thread, other times it's pming SN-ManGame...
Should be good now, though, back to original name and all |

Just as last year (if I recall correctly), I can't open the .xlsm file.

Some tough decisions, but eventually came to hopefully the correct ones and have now sent the file in. Really looking forward to the season even more now. |

I am assuming Avenir counts as Rd's for the riders involved but not for the team?

Finished mine
Tried to go really conservatively on the race days the first time through, I ended up with my worst riders maxing out and my best riders with heaps left. Had to restart then.

Pretty sure it only counts for XP and not race day use. It's also affected by race clashes, but I don't think that is a problem this season.
