As with any starting continental teams, we can’t expect to be the best in the world from the word go, it’s all about building from the ground up. Breakaway riders and puncheurs will be the team’s first focus. Of course with Hungarian and Slovakian riders in there as well. But most of all we want to build a strong base to improve on for, hopefully, years to come!
OTP Bank is Hungary’s largest bank and it's second largest company. It was founded in 1949 and is still going strong today.The Bank hosts an international organisation called the OTP group. The several parts of the group work in different areas of business. With a Hungarian sponsor the OTP Bank expect us to sign plenty of Hungarian riders and mainly concentrating on eastern European riders.
Slovnaft is a gas and oil company also founded in 1949 in Bratislava, Slovakia. They have been affiliated with another Hungarian company for fifteen years so once a Hungarian team came along, they know why they have decided to co - sponsor the team. With a Slovakian co sponsor the company will of course want Slovakians on the team.
Slovalco is a Slovakian company that produces hundreds of thousands of tons of aluminium. It was founded in 1993
 Vermarc is a Belgian sports clothing company founded back in 1977 by ex - pro Frans Verbeeck.
 Bottecchia is an Italian bicycle manufacturer which has been make a variety of different bikes for over eighty years.

2015 Jersey revealed
We proudly present you the 2015 shirt of OTP Bank - Slovnaft. We chose a design that looks retro but at the same time modern too. On the other hand we chose a line template (of course selfmade) which looks like an incredibble mountain stage. Good luck in 2015. Greetings Krisa

Well-delivered and fresh looking kit, with a simple yet iconic design. The stitching pattern looks suspiciously familiar though...
Interestingly, despite the hungaro-slovakian origin of the team, the jersey seems quite slovenian doesn't it?

Our team's goals are centred around hill races with two exceptions, the Cigar City Brewing Twilight GP, which is a cobbler and sprinters race, and our top 10 CT standings goal which is a season goal, not a race. We feel like these goals are achievable and appropriate for our team's maiden season.

 OTP Bank - Slovnaft Transfer Update The team's first transfer season has gone well to say the least. Thirteen riders have already been acquired from free agency, loan deals, and transfers. The most notable name is the Slovenian sprinter Luka Mezgec who should be a great asset for our first season. We have also gotten six Hungarians and three Slovakians which pleases the sponsors. Pavel Potocki is on loan from Quickstep and Lovassy was bought for 15,000 from DeLaval - Kiitokori. With one and a half weeks left in the transfer season our team is looking great! |

OTP Bank - Slovnaft Transfer Update #2 Two more riders have joined OTP Bank - Slovnaft from free agency. They are the Slovakian climber Marek Canecky and Frenchie puncheur Julien Simon.
