Spoiler Hi to all,
this is my first story so I will be glad for any advice or help.
This story will be about comeback riders for second chance and also about some cyclocross and MTB cyclists who try to take glory on the road. It will start little bit weird but you will see why.
Database: PCMdailyExpansionPackV2_career + few czech teams, riders and coaches
difficulty: Hard (for the first time )
I hope you give me feedback what can be better or how make it greater. And also... I hope this will be fun.
Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team - commencement
Our story starts 23. 06. 2013, in that day I see on my own eyes Czech and Slovak national championship (it's one race) and even that others know only that Bárta and Sagan win I see something else. On the 4th place was Kulhavý and on 6th place was Boroš (and he become U23 Czech national champion!). Riders from another sectors of cycling. From that day I said to myself many times "Why not take this riders on the road on full-time?"
Well I start to talk and I don't even say who I'm. I'm just guy... you know what? It's not important. This isn't about me. Call me for example inside guy. I worked like everybody else and now I can be part of something... but back to the story.
Time passed and around November 2013 I had a call from my friend. He's part of a Česká spořitelna - Accolade MTB team and he said they want to create a road team. They had a great experience in local cup and they want to take it to the next level. He knows I like that idea because I talked with him about it many time before. So I didn't know how or why but I was in.
From a first day I know I need help from someone with experience how to manage it. I try to call some well known cycling directors from Czech Republic but no luck. So I try something else. Afer wef call I have on the line Lubor Tesař and I must say it was really surprising when he say yes. And then my friends real strory starts...

Lubor Tesař - director
He has bronze medail from WC Amateur road race in Oslo 1993. He was also road czech national champion (1994 and 2003) etc. After end his career starts with organizing races like Praha – Karlovy Vary – Praha (road race) and Genesis Bike Prague (MTB race).
Jan Hruška - coach
This name maybe most of you know thanks to Giro 2000 where he was a leader after fist stage. True is he has many more achievements then this. He also win another time-trial on the same Giro and another great results in ITT like 3th place on Vuelta 2003. After his pro career he change road for MTB and he become Czech national champion in MTB marathon (2009). He ends with riding on pro level in 2012.
Michal Klasa - coach
You don't know this guy? Well you should. 3th place in track Individual pursuit on WC 1974, 3th place in road TTT on Olympic games 1980, 3th place in road TTT on WC 1981, 2dn place in road TTT on WC 1985.
He is also known for his doggedness. For example he finish last stage of Závod Míru (Course de la Paix) 1978 with broken jaw. He ride last 80 km with bleeding and open mouth because he can't close it. He fight for a sprinter jersey and he refused to abandon the race. In the end he lost sprinter jersey after all but Aavo Pikkus gives him that jersey like sing or respect. Klasa said about that stage: "I don't want ot hear about give it up. I spit out a tooth and continue. I had my cycling honour."
After his career he become coach and train Czech youngsters national team but after reorganization must leave. Today he sells food-addition for sportsmen.
Tomáš Konečný - coach
Well-known rider I think. He has many great results in his biography like Czech road national champion 1999, 16th place in general glassification on Vuelta 2001 and Tour de Suisse same year, 6th place on Milan-San Remo 2002 etc. Afer road career he races on MTB.
Peugeot - frame
Company with glorious history come back on the road and We will be their test team. It's not much for a start just one type of bike for TT and one type for race but it's something where We can start.
HED - wheels
Company which was innovator of aerodynamic disc wheels this year was without team until they sing with us.
SRAM - groupset
No more to say because We haven't many choices.

Back on the ground/Seeking for (hungry) samurais
For now things go well. We have staff, equipment and We work hard on bring some great riders into our team as well. But not everything ends how We wish. Just a few day before registration I have call from our general sponsor Česká spořitelna. They cut our budget a lot which is a bad news but even worse is that riders from Česká spořitelna - Accolade MTB team stay on MTB and don!t join us. It means We have no riders from our own resources and no money to pay somebody else.
I thing this is over. Kulhavý ends negotiation also Bína, Šimůnek and others. But there still some hope remains because Michael Boroš agree with new proposal and sign with us. So We have one great rider! But what now? One rider doesn't make a team. We need more of them and quick. Somebody say that We need seven samurais and like in the fame movie We need hungry samurais.
Michael Boroš
Member of ČEZ Cyklo Team Tábor (cyclocross). His main discipline is cyclocross but he also rice on the road. He's U23 Czech national champion on road 2013, He was 2nd on the same race 2012.
He join us from Tábor and he will be our leader.
Jakub Danačík
Former member PSK Whirlpool - Author. He didn't ride any race since 2010 when he leave PSK. Right now he does business with his father and they build baby carriage for bikes. They win also TV show where they get sponsor for expansion to USA. Jakub cooperate with bike producer Crussis where he tested bikes. He already finish university.
Tomáš Danačík
Former member PSK (it will be common) and Ck Windoor's Pribram. He stoped his pro road career in 2013 to give more time to studiing and also for recovering from bad fall. He decided to ride MTB for Ghost-Rubena.
But he didn't say no to our offer ride with his brother again.
Pavel Kelemen
Member of ASO DUKLA BRNO carry their colors on a track. In his biography We can find results like 10th place on Olympic games London 2012 in a sprint, U23 Europe champion 2013 in keirin and sprint etc.
He is our hope for sprints but only time shows if he can manage crossing on road.
Petr Kubias
Former member of PSK. He ends his career after descent of PSK from procontinental teams. He wants continue butt after leaving PSK he doesn't ride any more. He fisnished university and now he works as real estate agent.
He gladly join us.
Antonín Linda
Former member os PSK. He ends in PSK in 2009 and in 2010 he rides NC TT and few more races which was his last attempt. Today he works like lumberjack.
Jakub Večeřa
Former member of Favorit Brno and PSK. His career ends in 2012. Now he studiing university in Hradec Králové.
Pavel Zitta
Also former member of PSK. He ends with riding 2010 in SILNÝ - PELL´S TEAM. He is founder and organizer race Mountain Challenge which is walking touristic race.

Before run you must walk again
So We start. After sign contracts riders get new diets and also first few hints how to get back to shape. All were online so We finally met 2.1.2014 on our first team meeting in Prague.
It was more informational then anything else. We talk about new equipment, roles in the team. We also have feedback from riders and their demands. For example Tomáš Danačík wants to give space to school so he prefers local races and doesn't want to race in exams period. Michael Boroš wants to race cyclocross WC and the same Pavel Kelemen would like to be on WC on track too. And in the end Antonín Linda wants to be home on birthday of his child. All of these were requirement on which gladly agree. Full of new informations about ourself We split up but befote that We set time for first training camp on 1.2.2014.
Training camp in South Bohemia - Šumava. Began with weighing, Klasa grumbling and Tesař jokes. But main emotion was determination to show everyone that We deserved to be here. First day looks like disaster on the road. But under tough hands of our coaches riders slowly find a right sense for space on the group. In the end of the camp it looks almost like a team.
Meanwhile Lubor Tesař tried to find any race where they accept us. It was a shock when he comes with Le Tour de Langkawi somewere in Malaysia but more I think about it more better it sounds. No media, smaller numbers of teams... just We and the race. Also it's 2.CH race and great chance to score some points. This or start in France few days after. So We choose Le Tour de Langkawi.
I can't wait to see our guys in action.

Le Tour de Langkawi: Kangar - Kulim (1/10)
So here We are. Malaysia 27. 2. 2014 day D for us. We have here six riders which is maximum. Tomáš Danačík has some exams and also Jakub Večeřa stays home.
There are only 83 riders so We hope to score first points and show our colors. Our tactic is simple - bring Kelemen to sprint and see what he can do. Stage is flat and only distance can be a problem.
Since race starts many riders try to create breakaway. Jakub Danačík tries to chase them but with no luck. Race begins from the start on high level. It takes a while when on the front stabilized duo of riders.
Spoiler
Breakaway attempt.
Jakub Danačík chases.
Jakub Danačík on 85 km goes to slip from the peloton and starts chase the breakaway. Meanwhile others riders of our team stay same and side by side with Jan Bárda Czech NC. On 72 km to the finish Jakub Danačík finally joins the breakaway duo Christian Parrett from 5-Hour Energy and Willie Smit from Vini Fantini Nippo.
Breakaway reachs points sprint with lead more then 2 minutes and Jakub Danačík tries his first sprint. He take the line 3th but it wasn't important for us.
Spoiler
Sprint for points.
Then comes Bukit Selambau. Small climb which I didn't even notice on the map before. But was this climb which decide about result of the race. Just under climb peloton start push the tempo and on the the top they reach breakaway. Bad for us was that Kelemen spent too much energy and even didn't make it in the front.
Spoiler
Peloton under Bukit Selambau.
Bukit Selambau and end of the breakaway.
After climb Kelemen falls off from peloton even that Antonín Linda
tries to bring him back to the front. Also Jakub Danačík ends his performance in peloton. But it wasn't over for us We still have five riders in peloton!
Spoiler
Before last 5 km. Pavel Kelemen in the right bottom corner. Before him Jakub Danačík in the falling group.
Michael Boroš only our rider who can climb the Bukit Selambau in the front was joined Pavel Zitta and Antonín Linda. We create sprint train for Zitta with Boroš in the middle and Linda in the front. Put ourselves behind three riders Androni Giocattoli and wait for last sprint.
Spoiler
Last 3 km.
The sprint is on! Antonín Linda finishs his work and give place to Michael Boroš but Pavel Zitta can't keep his wheel. Boroš stays in the from alone so he gives his best, keeps Marco Frapporti wheel and then gives all he got. In the end lifts up his hands Leonardo Duque from Colombia.
Spoiler
Final sprint.
More important for us is that Michael Boroš oversteps the line on the 10th place.
Spoiler
Michael Boroš crosses the line.

Le Tour de Langkawi: Serdang - Kuala kangsar (2/10)
Second day of the race. Today We have here also one climb Bukit Sumpitan so climb contest is opening today.
For this stage We try to attack the climb jersey and in the sprint We will build train fro Zitta because We don't believe that Kelemen will make it to the end.
Nervous start like always and from the first kilometr become Jakub Danačík again active. He creates breakaway which join Smit and Igor Boev from RusLevo. After few kilometres peloten leaves the chase and gap grows.
Spoiler
Jakub Danačík leaves peloton, Smit follows him and Igor Boev tries to chase.
Under the Bukit Sumpitan have trio 2 minutes and 45 seconds. And We start to believe that they will be first on the hill. On the climb Jakub Danačík tries to attack but in the end without luck and he passes climb points last from the group.
When riders in peloton reach Bukit Sumpitan breakaway has 9 minutes and 20 seconds. Fith 65 km there still lives a chance for them. But after Bukit Sumpitan peloton kakes up and gap falls down quickly. But isn't too late?
Spoiler
Peloton on Bukit Sumpitan Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team befote the line on the right.
Peloton rides down from the hill.
On 20 km to the finish breakaway still keeps more then 2 minutes and when breakaway passes 10 km they have 2 minutes. Can they make it?
Spoiler
Peloton on 20 km to go. Breakaway in the front.
Breakaway on 10 km.
Before 5 km to go peloton closers on 40 seconds and We have already build sprint train which We build better then yesterday. Even Pavel Kelemen is part of it and maybe it's our chance to make something. On 5 km Antonín Linda pushs our line in the front and We even separate ourselves from peloton.
Spoiler
Peloton and breakaway close to 5 km.
Group of riders from Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team leaves the peloton.
Almost 2 km to go and our train with Antonín Linda, Michael Boroš, Pavel Zitta and on the back Pavel Kelemen has good position. We reach breakaway and sprint starts.
Spoiler
Before 2 km to go.
Start of the sprint.
In the end others have more energy and I think more skills to beak us. We need to find a few more for win but even We have our best rider Pavel Zitta on 11th place it should be count like a good day for us. Today was best day for Sam Bennett from Team NetApp - Endura who win the stage.
Spoiler
Sam Bennett beats Maksym Averin and wins.
Riders from Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team cross the line. Zitta first (11.), Kelemen (14.) after him and Boroš (17.) last on the picture.
Duque keeps the lead but tomorrow We have real climbs so it will change.
Rank | Name | Team | Time | 1 | Sam Bennett | Team NetApp - Endura | 2h44'45" | 2 | Maksym Averin | Synergy Baku Cycling Project | s.t. | 3 | Leonardo Duque | Colombia | s.t. |
Spoiler Tragically my game crashs after the finish but everybody have the same time. I sent just place of my riders:
Rank | Name | Team | Time | 11 | Pavel Zitta | Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team | s.t. | 14 | Pavel Kelemen | Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team | s.t. | 17 | Michael Boroš | Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team | s.t. | 22 | Jakub Danacik | Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team | s.t. | 32 | Antonín Linda | Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team | s.t. | 82 | Petr Kubias | Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team | s.t. |

Le Tour de Langkawi: Sungai Siput - Cameron Highlands (3/10)
The third day of the race. First mountain stage - one from two - and also first test of our riders. Till now it was fun because flat stages are mostly with spirt of the peloton so you just stay there if you aren't sprinter. Climbing show how riders are willing to suffer.
We don't expect anything big from today stage because We haven't real climber in our team. Spoiler Our best climber is Linda with mountaining 63 andhilling 62 In the end Lubor Tesař brings interesting tactics for this race so We will see.
After few first kilometres We set ourselves in the front and then We sent our riders to attack. It was unexpected and our group with Jakub Danacik, Pavel Kelemen, Petr Kubias and Antonín Linda build a lead really quickly. On 110 km We create group with early breakaways where were Blaz Jarc from Team NetApp - Endura, Maher Hasnaoui from SkyDive Dubai Pro Cycling Team, Manabu Ishibashi from Vini Fantini Nippo, Mirac Kal from Torku Seker Spor, Michael Friedman from Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies and Artur Ershov from RusVelo. With lead 8 minutes on peloton where stay Michael Boroš and Pavel Zitta.
Spoiler
132 km. Begin of breakaway. Česká spořitelna - Accolade road team riders leave the peloton.
