Tour de Pologne
The CT is heading for one of the most prestigious stage races in the division: the Tour de Pologne goes into it's fifth edition in the ManGame-history, featuring riders like Michael Boogerd, Paolo Savoldelli, Francisco Ginanni and last year's winner Blaz Furdi on it's honour roll.
Seven stages (4 hilly, 3 flat) will give both puncheurs and sprinters plenty of chances to grab points, while the GC should of course go those puncheurs. It's a packed HC-band with 24 teams participating, so expect some of the division's best cyclists to challenge for the victory here!
The Startlist
GC-contenders and Sprinters
GC-contenders | HI | SPR | Allrounders | HI | SPR | Mendes | 78 | 68 | Geschke | 74 | 76 | Haas | 76 | 68 | Bole | 74 | 76 | Kolobnev | 76 | 63 | Millan | 72 | 74 | Gaimon | 75 | 67 | Fernandez | 72 | 73 | Schurter | 75 | 66 | Vitoria | 71 | 74 | Godoy | 75 | 58 | Sweeting | 70 | 76 | Cioban | 75 | 64 | | | | Beltran | 74 | 65 | | | | Fahnert | 74 | 63 | Sprinters | | | Sayar | 74 | 63 | Rowe | 62 | 80 | Appleby | 74 | 61 | Farrar | 62 | 79 | Rosskopf | 74 | 61 | Caethoven | 67 | 77 | Feillu | 74 | 63 | Sutton | 62 | 77 | Firsanov | 74 | 63 | Opie | 66 | 77 | Selander | 74 | 69 | Dahlberg | 66 | 76 | Bochman | 73 | 62 | Clavero | 64 | 76 | Kulhavy | 73 | 63 | Hawkins | 64 | 76 | Richardson | 73 | 58 | Arango | 63 | 76 | Rosa | 73 | 62 | Chavanel | 55 | 76 |
Mendes is once again the man to beat, followed by Haas and Kolobnev as probably the most serious contenders. It's a packed startlist though, riders like Gaimon or downhill-specialist Schurter will definitely fancy their chances as well. Several teams will have more than just one option (such as Dell or Nutresa) and let's not forget riders like Kulhavy or Firsanov, with especially the first enjoying a great season so far and the latter coming off a nice performance in Oberosterreich.
And of course there's Geschke and Bole not just aiming for stage-wins, but also the GC! They will need to limit the losses on those few better puncheurs and should be at the front of the race in every stage here. Other allrounders like Sweeting or Millan may hope for a shot at the GC, too.
Rowe and Farrar should be considered the top-favorites for the flat stages, with guys like Caethoven, Opie or Sutton having a realistic shot at some very good results, too.

Not exactly a key race for me. Nevertheless hoping for a good GC for Firsanov or some breakaways if the first fails.

We have a goal of a Top 5 here IIRC, but as every primarily hilly race this season, we go in with the belief that a win is possible.

Excited for this race. Need to score good now, so I can hold my position on the rankings. So, I will pray to the MG-Gods for gaps, huge gaps!

No idea why I sent Oba here, seeing that there is no timetrial this is really a waste of racedays.
As for always in hilly races I hope that either Ito or Sayar can surprise some and grab some points here. |

it would be nice to see Schurter do well for us but the race isn't that important to the team so it won't be too big a disappointment if he doesn't.

Starlist order has no effect on game or leader status set by AI..

Gotta go for a top 5 with Godoy here, certainly due a top result.
With quite a few hilly stages, surely, on at least one we will see a mid-stage breakaway make it to the finish, could have massive impact on the GC, would be great for Borges to make one of these moves. |

I believe I have a goal here so I need some aggressive riding from my orange boys.

Don't really think I fancy my chances at the overall much, but Farrar should have a real shot at getting a win or two on the flat stages.

For once, Bole and Geschke start in the same race. Unfortunatelly, Bole is without a manager so nobody except me will care anymore about that
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Not expecting much (well given how things have gone this season you wouldn't would you?), mainly due to sending a stronger squad to Algeria in the clashing C2HC race there, but hopefully Arango could grab a couple of top 10s and Chalapud or Rubiano could get in some breaks.

Not much to say about the first day, our main riders didn't lose any time but we didn't partake in the sprint either. Hopefully we can show ourselves one way or another in future stages.

That was the sort of finish we need Sobal for. Meh day for us, but was to be expected. Three more hilly stages to come after all.

What a start. .... to a race that really could have gone belly up for us. I was wondering why we were doing so much of the chasing, then Borges answers that by winning the sprint with plenty of our team up there in the final.
If Godoy is on the same form as the rest of the team this is going to be one top race for us. |

Just utterly useless there, no one gets in the breakaway and my best rider finishes 52nd. Please don't be anonymous, I do kinda have a Top 3 GC goal here so do something at least!
