After a lot of thought and prior planning...
I have decide to go ahead with this.
While I have a busy schedule and other commitments at the moment
(most of which are completed when the school semester ends
in early December) I feel I can still pull this off and
finish another fun game for this great community.
For those that don't know, I have completed two Survivor games.
Season 1 : Season 2
This is my next interactive forum game. It's seems complicated at first but it's really easy to get a hang of as it repeats itself. Feel free to bombard me with questions if you don't get it and want to understand.
PCM.Daily The Amazing Race
Hosted By Mresuperstar
Welcome to The Amazing Race. Eleven teams of two will embark on
a journey around the world, facing obstacles and challenges along the way.
But, that's not the only thing they will face. The race will test friendships,
bonds, trust, and commitment. The slowest team may be eliminated at the
end of each leg, making the chances of survival smaller as the race continues.
Ultimately ending with 1 team coming out victorious!
Each leg will take place over the course of 4 real-time days.
Everything is time based but the game clock isn't constantly running.
Eliminations are strictly based on the game clock time not normal time.
Day 1: Air Travel and Roadblock
Teams will first embark towards their new destination.
This is done on a first come, first basis at a random time on the given day.
I will post the location and it's your job to "virtually" get there.
While you're finding a flight, each team will also decide
which team member will have to face a solo challenge known
as a Detour later in the leg (on the 3rd day).
At schedule time later in the day a Roadblock challenge will be posted on the thread. Normally only one team member needs to be present to complete the task but it would be beneficially for both team members to be online.
Game Clock - Day 1
Starts: Travel Location is Posted
Ends: 1 Team Member picks Flight and Detour Participant
Time Added: For Incorrect Information
Starts: Roadblock is Posted
Ends: Roadblock is Completed
Time Added: Any Penalties Taken
Day 2: Complete Roadblock and Ground Transportation
The Roadblock will always have a 24 hour time limit once posted.
However once the Roadblock extends into Day 2 the race continues for
those that have completed the Roadblock and are ready to move on.
At different times transportation to the next challenge (the Detour)
will posted on the thread, these are open for 2 hours or until they are filled up.
Your team can't sign-up to use them until you have finished the Roadblock.
Game Clock - Day 2
Time Added: Ground Transportation Options and Scenarios
The team member chosen on Day 1 will get the choice between 2 challenges - each with their own difficulties. All communication about the Detour and completing the task will be done by PM. I will do my best to try and
accommodate to the challengers to please their time zone and schedule.
Once I send out the PM to the team member who is doing the Detour,
they have a time limit of 12 hours to complete the task. They may switch Detours but are at the mercy of me being online to give them the other task.
Each individual team member can do a maximum of 6 Detours.
This is strictly an individual challenge! Any collaboration with your teammate
or other teams will result in automatic elimination if I find you to be guilty.
A brief overview of what position your team is currently in will be
posted on Day 3 before I send out the Detour challenges by PM.
Game Clock - Day 3
Starts: PM is sent out to team member doing the Detour
Ends: The Detour is sent back completed
Time Added: Any Penalties Taken
Day 4: Elimination and Rest Day
Once 12 hours passes on the last Detour PM sent out it's time for the results.
The team that took the longest amount of time during each leg may be eliminated while the other teams that didn't finish last get to advantage to the next leg.
This goes until 3 teams remain and they compete in final leg.
Now onward to the miscellaneous rules and information you should be aware of.
Twists and Turns a Plenty
The Express Pass is awarded to the team the wins the 1st leg of the race.
This allows them to skip one Roadblock or Detour and continue racing.
This must be used before there are only 4 teams remaining.
At some point in the race there will be a U-Turn and/or a Double U-Turn.
This will be located after a Detour challenge. Which ever team gets here first will have the option to pick another team to have to go back and complete the other Detour task before they can continue. A double U-Turn just means this option is open for the first two teams to get here (if they decided to use it).
A Fast Forward challenge may be in play in some of the legs.
This task could be individual or team but is on a first come first serve basis.
The first team to complete this challenge gets to skip the Roadblock
and Detour challenges and go straight to the finish line for that leg.
If you're not the first team to complete it then you have just wasted your time and still have to do the rest of the challenges to complete the leg.
A Speed Bump is a task that must be completed the next leg if you get saved because it was a non-elimination leg. Both team members will have to work together to complete it before continuing on with their race.
As always, bragging rights and a userbar to put in your signature.
As host I hold final say if any problems occur.
I will do my best to be as fair as possible if those situations come up.
Lastly, this is just a game. Don't take it personally. Although I expect there to be no problems as this is way more friendlier competition than Survivor.
