Have you admins ever thought of a pcmdaily teamspeak server? If this was asked anywhere else, i am sorry, because i was to lazy so use the search function...

Skype has always been the main thing in this community though. But to my knowledge there isn't one so far.

Ok, just because Teamspeak is a lot better in my opinion than Skype.
Skype uses more of your internet speed, more of your pc power and the quality is crap compared to Teamspeak. I don't know if the people here need/want a "change" in this part...

Meh, whatever can send messages and voice call, doesn't matter really. Haven't used Teamspeak mainly because I haven't had a problem with Skype, so ye

Iirc Doddy used to host a teamspeak server back in the day, but that was back in 2008/09 I think. Guys like Deadpool, Isso, Waghlon, Schleck93, T-Baum, Doddy, Ruben and others all used it while playing track cycling and stuff. When I became active on the site, those that used teamspeak had already pretty much stopped and it wasn't really worth it anymore. Then most of those guys that were still around moved on to Skype, and from my experience it was quite good.
I dont think you would have a large enough/dedicated enough group to make teamspeak worth it, especially when Skype does offer essentially the same thing, but at arguably a worse quality (however free), however it is more familiar to many and as code has said, thats pretty much the standard sms/voice chat/video call service that everyone uses on here now.

Yeah, I agree. Skype is just easier cause everyone has it and it works fine for me.

Ok. I just thought it would be a good idea, but i don't know what you mean by "making it worth"
A teamspeak server with 100 slots costs around 144€ per year/12€ per month.
Jesleyh said one or two months ago, that we have around 100 active members...if everyone would take part it would be 1,44€ per year for every person. if only f.e. 20 guys want to take part, we take a server with 25 slots for (im not sure) 3€ per month...
I know, its often important, that those programs are free to use, but quality has its cost.
Ive used skype very often a few years ago, and i thought that it was pretty good too. but then i found out about teamspeak, and i am using it still.
But no problem, different persons, different opinions.

That is the problem: money. Though, a forum's skype chat would be cool

You want people to pay We can't even get people to be happy the site is free-to-use let alone pay for something related, especially when there are multiple perfectly adequate alternatives (not just Skype).
If you want to pay for it go ahead though

I think we can close the thread now. But if anyone wants to test Teamspeak, i am actually on a server with 200 slots, which isn't mine, but everyone who desires can join here(for free TMM ). If anyone is interested, PM me.

Why don't we just make a free Skype group then...

No...other forums had it, but then most of them settled on teamspeak, mumble and other stuff...

Can't remember that I said so, I think it'd be a bit more tbh.
And nah, I prefer just using Skype tbh.

Do we have a volunteer for creating a Daily skype chat?
I think I should be dippofix there too... alternatively, I think it's also on my profile.
