I am probably going to buy PCM 2014, and I know it will probably be released around 20th of June(my birthday ) But I wonder when the differen DBs, both the realname and the community, will be released(how many days after).
I am also wondering when it is usually cheapest. Is often on sales in Steam, like weekend sales, or is it pretty rare on sales? I also wonder if the price will lower, and when.
Well.
The first small realnames(riders & teams names only) will probably out after 1 day max.
The first big realnames(some additional features) maybe in 1 or 2 weeks.
The first big Dbs is hard to estimate. 2 months?
Depends a lot on also what changes in PCM14. We're still to know any certain feature of the game; if something considerable changes, it might take more time for the big DBs to get released. As Jesleyh said, there'll probably be a real name DB before you have the game.
And last year PCMDaily released a real name DB circa 5 days after the release that was pretty much a 'big DB' without variants and future sponsors. So you could hope that to be done again
Well, you can always wait for some sales , just like it was New Years sale on Steam when you could actually get the game for 33% of its price, but you'll never know when these sales are, since Steam never inform before that happens.
But you'll to wait pretty much before something like that (sale or something similar) happens or the price drops which usually happens after next version of games comes out (you'll have to wait a year), so i guess buying it just after it gets released is the best option.

If you put it on your Steam wishlist then Steam should email you when it's on sale.
