Thanks to everybody who applied to join the Management Game. There were some really good applicants, but we don't quite have space for all who applied - and it was not easy to pick those to miss out.But for those who did, there may still be a chance if some of those chosen don't meet expectations. Last year a couple of those who were initially rejected, ended up joining the game anyway, and becoming really good additions to the game.
The new managers are:

Congratulations to you all.
What next?
1. Well, you need to decide a team name and nationality. When you do, you can now use this thread https://www.pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthr...d_id=32837 to post team name, nationalities and abbreviation. (Obviously leave 'Current Team Name' blank)
You can't take a sponsor that is already in use, and please ask first if you want to use a sponsor that has been used in the game in recent seasons.
2. Create a thread in the Teams HQ forum: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewforum.p...orum_id=96 But first, try to think about what you want to put in it. Don't start spamming the HQ forum out of excitement, its your first chance to prove youll be a good manager for the game!
Please do not suddenly post in a lot of Team HQ threads declaring interest in riders they might have. And certainly do not make any offers for riders. This should be left to the transfer season, when there will be plenty of time for such moves. Transfers will require some careful planning - not wildly charging in trying to sign every single available rider.
3. Get a jersey made for your team, then upload it to the Shirts Database in the ManGame 2014 section.
Then just stay tuned for more information. There are various active threads across the ManGame forums at the moment. Any thing that you are required to do as a manager will be posted in this announcements forum.

I'm really glad I made it, thanks for letting me be part of this. I hope I'll meet the expectations and be a good addition to the game

Congratulations and welcome to the game to everyone who made it, and commiserations and keep on being active to everyone who sadly had to miss out.
I'm happy to see many potentially amazing additions to the game amongst you lot, I hope everyone sticks around and contributes in their individual way.
Plus, as a (sometimes unreliable) reporter myself, I can't wait to see a new batch of reporters emerge from this group.
There are certainly a lot of experienced writers joining, feel free to join this even more select (and powerful ) group without any pressure! The least it'll do is strongly increasing your chances of being allowed to continue into 2015.
Obviously, what I'm most excited about now is to see where you intend to base your teams, even more so after having an overview about all applications.

Congratulations to the new managers. I'd like to be the first to extend to you the opportunity to purchase a few of my minimum wage riders. We'll start bidding at 1,000,000.
But in all seriousness, Congrats!

Congrats to all of you new managers!
And of course the best way you can make a great impression in the Man Game is by not bidding on Japanese riders in the transfer season

Congrats to all the new manager.
Your first season will be a challenge but enjoyable, unless you sign plenty of good riders, which I can then buy of you

Congrats to all managers! I see a lot of well
known names on the list, which I think can be great contributors to the man-game when it comes to activity. Really looking forward to see where people are going to "settle down" on the map, if they are going for nationality, talents, specific attributes etc.
Love pre-season! |

Welcome to the game, gentlemen!
Have fun creating your teams and don't forget: it is in no way compulsory to make it fully regionally focused. There are other ways to give your team character, like focusing on certain types of riders. Or an age group.
Pro Tour is the only division in which it is probably best to have strong riders for all terrains, because everyone rides the same calendar.
(P)CT teams can truly specialize; enjoy it while it lasts.
When I joined and learned the game during the 2012/2013 off-season, I compiled a structured overview of all the information that is spread over various topics. This info is for the 2013 season obviously and some things will be different in 2014. Still I think it might help some of you get a better understanding of the game and of the things you are going to have to do in the coming weeks. I'll update it once new information becomes available.
You can find it here.

Yay, by virtue of numbers first, I am at the top of the list! That hasn't happened before , anyways, I will get down to the logistics of this once I get time, kind of in a very busy stretch right now, but thanks for giving me a chance!!!!
So, just to clarify, no 'rumors' about acquisitions should be released from our team until the transfer period because technically our team is 'created' at the transfer window, correct?

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

Leaving a post in one or two team's thread about rider of interest, is just useful, making it easier for both parts in knowing whom to renew and whom to release.
I think what SN meant is to not have several new users "spam" the entire HQ of existing teams, because you're eager to start.
Might have interpreted it wrong though |

Thank you for this great opportunity! I now realize why I didn't get in last year, and I'm almost glad I didn't. Now it's time to make the team info I guess.

@Bjartne
I do believe you are correct there.
And all judges, thank you for accepting me.
I hope I won't disappoint and can show you I am worthy of this opportunity.
