I'm purchasing a new laptop (hopefully) tomorrow. I'll have to install Pro Cycling Manager 2013 there, but the problem is I'm in the middle of a story, so I want to continue my story as it is.
How do I do that? The way I reckon (tell me if I'm wrong):
1. Install PCM 13 on new laptop
2. Copy the Cyanide file on old laptop that contains 3D, CM_Stages...
3. Copy the Cyanide file on old laptop that contains Screenshots, Databases...
4. Overwrite the Cyanide files on my new laptop.
Will that work? For example, I have multiple variants for Tour de France and I'm in 2016 in the story. If I do this, will the same variant remain for 2016?
The same variant should remain.
Just copy all the essentials like the Mini shirts, shirts, stages, equipment and so on, Then you want to take over the db, and everything supporting that db like your game save for example.
After that just add them to your existing and if it asks overwrite it.

Yes, that should be just right. Just when you say "Cyanide file" you mean the folders, right? (Main folder of the game on 2 and My Docs folder on 3). Also I'd install the latest patch between 2 and 3 (to be honest, the files of the patch will be copied when you do step 2, so that wouldn't be necessary, but I'm not sure if installing the patch changes something like the registry or something - so I'd install it just to be safe )
