Hey guys! You're bored and angry to see a guy with red shirt riding in Astana? You don't like ugly pink, white and black backgrounds behind in-game faces? We have a solution!
Cut-Out faces by North is project that will publish best quality faces without shirts and shoulders showing up, so - just faces. Background is transparent, so it will look much better in-game.

Just for info, tried some of the faces in-game and i am satisfied with them , but one problem appeared. Seems like Targa (.tga) file type does not supports transparent background, so this is how it looks like atm in-game:
But of course, there is a solution. I am going to use this in-game bakcground gray for background of my cyclist photos, so it will look like transparent, at least. |

This is a great idea. Can we use it with PCM 12'?

.tga definitely supports it. Just look at the team logos and minis, or equipment pictures, those are all in .tga and have transparent background However what might be happening is that when you save it, some configurations are set so that the alpha channel is left untouched. So what you can do is either edit the alpha channel by yourself, or, imo easier, save as .dds/.png, then re-save/convert to .tga.
Using the gray for background of the photos would work the same for PCM13, but I'd say there's a big chance that the color of the background will change in PCM14, even slightly. In that case, it would be wasted work (likewise, the idea wouldn't work for previous PCMs if you were to save the pics with the gray background - as you can see on the above post, there are certainly people already interested in using it on previous PCMs ).

Thanks, vismitananda. Yes, you will be able to use it in previous PCM versions.
Oh yes, totally forgot about that. Tried saving as both .png and .dds and converting it to .tga right after it, but background just stays white. Tried alpha channels aswell, and it appears as transparent but when i save it, still same.
Will try to do it few more times today, it has to work. |

You have to save as tga with Paint.Net, photoshop doesn't do it.

Thanks mede33 , seems like it's working now. It's going to be much easier now.
Also, i'll post team by team links and not all of them at once as i planned (WT , then PCT and CT). I hope it's okay. Sky's coming first. |

Okay guys, it's not question this time. ,I am searching for fastest solution since i have alot of faces to do. Of course it can be done by Photoshop (since it's somehow king of graphic programs compared to something like Paint.NET) , but setting Alpha channels for each face is taking more time and "only" saving it in Paint.NET is taking less time.
