So i know how to make startlists... tell me how to make a startlist and i will punch you!
I make the startlist. I save the startlist. I check the startlists to make sure it's correct. I go to the race and load the startlist... Half the teams are gone... Just gone...
Originally i thought it was a problem with number of riders relating to San Luis (6 rider limit). So i edited up to 8, same problem.
Tried a totally different list on Qatar, same problem.
New list on Amgen, same problem.
New list on ToB, same problem.
Help?

There's a great guide on the Tips & Tricks on how to make startlists: https://pcmdaily.com/tipstricks.php?ti...p?tipid=64
Seriously, now, it's a weird thing. Have you tried checking the actual startlist file on notepad, to see if after you saved all the teams are there? Did you try creating a startlist in the manual way? Could you attach the file?

Yes i've opened the files in Notepad, and it all matches up properly.
Manual way? As in via Notepad? No i haven't, but i could give it a go tomorrow.

Same happens to me in some races, too. Only 16 instead of 20+ teams appearing, even though the files look all fine. Couldn't solve the problem, btw annoying. I somehow think it's race-related, butcould be wrong.

This probably isn't the answer but worth a shot .
1) In the cyclists tab --- scroll across to Race and then State---- both should be blank or say 'free' respectively.
2) If not that it may have something to with what you are saving the file name as. When I use startlists I have to make sure the save is titled the same as whatever it says in 'gene_sz_variant_xml' which can be found in STA_race, otherwise it won't work for me.
This probably has little relevance but worth a shot. |

What about there being a max amount of teams for each race?
Could you have gone over the limit in Sta_race_rules?

As jesleyh said. Maybe too many teams or too many riders in general.

@tsmoha - Helpful
@Rider - All "Free", all non-variant races and labeled correctly
@Jesl + LLS - Checked and edited upwards in the case of San Luis, otherwise well inside normal limits. Problem still persists

Roughly half.
Also not affected by Division. Some WT teams appear and Some PCT and Some CT, but not all the ones asked for...

In-game have you selected the MFS DB? That could be the problem if you've chose the Daily one. Worth a try. |

@Ollfardh - I was one of the first, but this is different. Then for me it was people appearing on the team slection screen and then not in the race itself. Here they just arn't on the team selection page.

So i have failed to fix it.
Did manually create a startlist XML file (took way too long) but the problem still exists.
Went to try out a TDF startlist to see if it was related to rider/team numbers... Nope, same problem...
Equally made a PITS list and same problem...
Really not looking forwards to having to re-install the game again (for the 3rd time :roll...

Did you try creating a new race (same name) and try the startlist there? This may be worth a try. I'm currently too lazy to do it by myself

I really doubt it's the game's problem...though it's worth a shot to uninstall.
Spoiler
I'll take a wild guess here, I wonder if something needs to be "edited" (now grant it, i don't know how to do this) to make the amount of teams 21. For example, I try creating a startlist on my pcm with your DB (Volta a Portugal), yet it tells me there is a max of 18 teams which obviously isn't enough.
Earlier races: Japan Cup allowed 25 teams, NZCC 25, LTAB 25. However San Luis only allows 16 teams. Same with Qatar, 16. So that's where there's not enough.
I sense a *PUNCH*
EDIT: Whoops, didn't see Jesleyh already posted this. nvm

That could explain some of the problem, but not the Tour de France problem, or why AToC doesn't display all the allowed spaces, or the Tour of Britain...
Edit it via STA_race_rules btw

I've always wondered...does PCM seem to make "mutations" that cause people to reinstall their game countlessly?
I ran a test on those races, all worked fine after editing race rules. Definitely not a DB problem, it's a PCM problem for sure

I have one final idea that might make the difference. Possibly (now this is a long shot) my double instals are confusing each other. I've got one install with my DailyDB stuff, and another for the Comics DB. Perhaps (again it's a long shot) they are communicating with each other, which causes the "mutation".
They should be installed very separately, but i will go through and look first hand to check. Should know some time this evening.
Fingers crossed
