I can't be the only one with a problem when it comes to Team Time Trial ? I just rode one were i was seeded second .. I ended up as second last .. how do you ride these things? is there a Special taktik or something?
This is the stats my riders had in TT 80,77,75,73,73,73,63,66
Anyone have any tips ? thank you for your time! |

Team Time Trial is a well known fuck-up in the game. Long TTT are too easy, shorter ones are impossible to win.
Just quick-sim, best option |

Basically if the TTT is around 15 km. or less long you just get your best TT guy pull the team throughout the race with 99 effort in the front. You also put the rest of the guys at 99 but not rotating. This should get you some nice results.
But don't forget, if you have some guys with really low TT they might be dropped along the way. |

As they've been saying it's broke. I've done loads of TTT's and ended up frustrated that in the end I gave up on them. Even when I picked the perfect team in Sky with Wiggins, Froome, Thomas and Porte etc I still could only finish second. Most other times I've finished a hell of a lot lower than this!
I found the best despite the broken system to only let your best 4 or 5 riders ride it and just have the others to follow. All riders I put on 99 and the best rider I have on the front for example Wiggins, Martin or Cancellara etc for 25" and then gradually work down with the other riders to say 18" 15"10" 8" etc. If you do enough you'll get a feel for it, but as said the system is faulty, not like TT's which are quite easy to ride.

During the past 20 or so minutes I tried a few tests of TTT's 15-mid-length km's using various strategies. bisikletsporu's strategy seems to get me better results than what I expect. For 20+km TTT's I can get first every time, by "sacrificing" the next best guy. 15km TTT's are still a challenge, I can only get Top 5 with the best team.

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

Yesterday, I just won a TTT which was around 14 km, with having only Thomas pulling on the front the entire course. All of the guys had 99 effort.
If the course is longer, i.e. 25km or so you would then need to pick at least 2 guys (best ones) relaying. -Obviously the better one relaying longer- This should also work.
In case the course is quite long 45-50 km or so (I don't think we see this frequently in the game though), another tactic is to have the worst 2-3 guys pulling with 99 until they are close to emptying their tanks, then leave them behind and pull with the best with 99. Needless to say you need to be careful because the guys you leave will have the risk to finish outside of the time limit. |

I don't think there is a time limit in TTTs in PCM (at least in TTs there isn't).

OK, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.
I don't recall this being a problem in prior versions. |

Same here. After a while I just said WTF!? and loaded up with an all-star TT roster that should have totally crushed the competition, especially on the flat TDF TTT. The best I ever got was second place by a handful of seconds. Typically somewhere top-10. Sometimes outside top 10!? |

I hate simming though, it makes it feel somewhat false
but then after i coughed up a minute to Astana in a pan-flat 16km Giro TTT (2nd last) with the likes of Pinotti, Grabsch, Quaade and Flakemore in the side... then ehhh

Same here.
Just for grins, I ran a couple TDF TTTs with a stacked Sky team, and all the big guns had decent fitness. Lost them all. Some by a lot.
Then I did the same thing, except simulated the races. Crushed them all.
How annoying. |
