Guys i wan to start a long carear and cant be botherd waiting anylonger for the patch and DB. Do you no if i can download anything so i can be a custom team with a real name and real jerseys? Because at the minute im haveing to be a real team and give all the sponsors long contracts as when i was Sky, Team Saxo changed sponsor and were called Team Lentham Bike?
Well, yes, there are several DBs which have real sponsors, variants and all, so you can just download one of them and start your career with it. But I wonder if you'll still be playing it in say f.e. a month considering that there are critical bugs in the current version of the game which get close to making it unplayable and considering that if you start your career a week later from now you should already have a patch that will at least fix some of those things.
For example the ProTour bug with the Continental races, you would probably need a new career anyways.

I was wondering. Does protecting your captain in mountains work? The only thing I've noticed when I do it is that the helper gets exausted really fast. So unless it is a clear bonus. Should I stop doing it?
It does work, and it's one of the best strategies on a mountain.
In PCM, mountains are essentially timetrials for mountain riders. He who spends his energy on a mountain in the most efficient way wins. Using a protector conserves energy at equal pace, therefore you can go on for longer and faster. It's the key to beating guys that are stronger than you.
Make sure that your helper is also decent in the mountains so he can protect for more than two seconds.

What I was wondering though: does protecting save heart rate at a given effort or does it increase speed at a given effort? I suspect the latter at times.
Isn't that essentially the same thing? The end result in both situations is that you can go faster at X eart rate, meaning more efficient use of energy bars.
