1_open carrer underway with an editor (open file Cdb.carriere_1)
2_go to table GAM_user, and then change your team at the FK IDteam_duplicate tab as shown below.
NB: change nothing else (if you made this change beginning of the year in January, it goes from either your national team selection will be as the accustomed, it is the FK IDteam_national_duplicate tab).
4_sauvegardez overwriting your current career...'s done it
PS: For example I made this test early January 2016 leaving Europcar 2 for Big Mat Aubert, then in January 2017, to return with Europcar and returning in 2018 with the FDJ.. .without bugs with the FCD 2013 as Database.
* It is important to note that the main menu screen, the icons color of the taskbar (at the bottom) behaved Racing racing Pro Tour with Europcar in 2016 since my team was mounted in Pro Tour in 2015

This has been posted all over this forum already and in shorter version already, also you forgot to mention the important stuff.
Certain aspects of the career are not linked to a team. For example the financial information (the list) will be carried over to the next team although it would belong to the old team. Also the bank account will be the same.
I am pretty sure that sponsor offers would also be carried over to the new team.
Also you should consider that the game creates sponsor goals for your team only. Changing the team after the goals have been generated will leave you without goals (which most probably makes the game crash).
In any case, I always recommend to only change your team in the off-season to limit the risks. Furthermore it leaves you a some time to sign riders if needed.

to the end of season, that the best moment for change team in your career, i agree. A best solution for sponsor objective in the beggining of the next year.
