Hi Everyone,
Is there a way to get some additional details about the climbs in the stages before/during a stage?
Before the stage I can only see the small overview, which would give me some indication of whether there will be any mountains or hills etc., but I cannot find out the length or the avr. slope information of these climbs. These would be quite useful for both picking up the proper equipment before the stage and also for deciding on the racing strategy as the race progresses.
Any ideas?
Thank you. |

You can see a detailed overview of the race profile, including the climbs, when you hit spacebar (I believe that's the button) in-game and scroll through the tabs.
Equipment stats supposedly have no impact on performance, which is why the PCMDaily DB always carries max stats for every bike. |

Yes you are right ShortsNL,
But that you can only see when the race has started.
Is there a way to see this detailed raceprofile BEFORE the race starts?
So to plan a tactic and best team before?

I doubt that you need to know the slope details to decide the team.
Generally just take the best climbers if there is a mountain and the best puncheurs if there is a hill.
And the tactics are simple, just make sure to reach the penultimate climb with the best riders. After that you have to decide if you can win or have to fight for position rather by looking at the remaining energy of your riders. |

The length of the climbs also play an important role. Because if it's short climbing sprinters can go for it, but if it is a bit longer they don't stand much of a chance. It is really hard to guess the length of the climb before the stage just by looking at the small overview profile. Some races can be 270 km. long and some are 120 km. long, so even though the climbs might look alike, they very well not be so... |

In my experience, if there is a climb at the end of the stage, sprinters don't have any chances if you attack them with a puncheur.
Except of course if the climb is very small but that should be visible even on the actual profile.

If you really need it, you could go in single race mode and look for the stage. Then there's a chance that the stagemaker has highlighted the climbs, so you can see lenght/avg gradient and all. It's an annoying workaround but I'm not sure if there's other way.

It seems like it's the only way then. And even during the race I cannot get these details. ShortsNL mentioned that when you hit space, you can get this info in one of the tabs, but I cannot. Any idea? |

When you hit space, it should be the first tab.
The other way is to click on the profile at the bottom. |
