Hey all.
I figured out how to change the frame and wheels, but it seems that the helmet part is stuck somewhere.
When im ingame 3D the helmet is black.
I have the files which is my new equipment, which i took into 3D/Cyclist/Equipment/Helmet (or so) and renamed my file to custom_helmet1.nif, custom_helmet1_d.dds etc etc.
Ive also been in lachis editor, and change the equipment to belong to my team. But still the helmet is black in 3D.
What do i do wrong?
best regards

If the helmet is black, then I'd guess on something wrong with the files rather than something wrong with the editing. Maybe you could attach them?

Wheels and Frames workes fine by changing the names. But helmets are just black.
EDIT: Just noticed my wheels doesnt work either. They are black as well :/
EDIT 14-07: Just noticed that it is probably the file (linked above) that is making trouble. I tryid to get another pack with helmets, and added it to the game and worked immediately.. Anyone can tell what i can do to make it work, or what is wrong with the file - and how to fix.
Thx

Hm, just tested the helmets and wheels in the Cyclist Viewer and they worked fine... can you post a screen of what you see in 3D? An option which you could also try, at least for the helmets, is to copy the files of some Bell RR and TT helmets, then delete the _d file and replace it by the _d file of your files. But you need to make sure that you're not copying the files of auto-color helmet, so take f.e. the United Health Care helmets (in this the RR is not autocolored but the TT is, so for the TT helmet you should also use the _s file of your files). For the wheels I'm not sure if this would work because I don't know the .nif model of the wheels.

Hey lluuiiggii, it worked with the helmet (RR) to change only the _d file.
Well another issue about the TT. Because when you are in the equipment folder, and looking at Unitedcare helmets, i cant find any unitedcare_tt helmets. So i just find another default helmet which exicst as TT, and then overwrite the _d & _s file ? |

Yes, you can do it with a default helmet, but it has to be a Bell one. So try it with the "helmet_bell_tt" (the name should be that iirc).

You should the opposite (take your _d and _s files and use another helmet's _n and .nif files).

Ye that is what ive done.
I misswrote before.
I took my _d & _s files and renamed them helmet_bell_swi_tt and pasted them into the equipment folder. (overwrited them) But still black ingame 3D. |

Hm.. try taking only your _d file and paste them over the _n _s and .nif files of another Bell TT helmet. If it works, there'll be the auto-color parts but that is easier to fix. If it doesn't however the problem might be in the _d file.

Actually, I just took a look at the files and the problem is the _s file.
The helmet you are using was originally designed for PCM10 format, I am guessing, and therefore has grey and black files respectively.
In PCM11 they introduced Auto Colouring, which is found painted on the _s files.
So if your _s file is not set to transparent, such as the csc frames are, you will end up with the Auto-colouring function painting in your teams hex colour wherever the _s file is solid. In this case the entire set of helmets and your wheels would auto-colour in your equipment to the teams colour. In this case I am guessing your CSC teams hex colour is a black.
Anyways, I fixed your _s files for helmets and wheels, and reduced the _n files because they are not needed to be that large. (Shading only effect).
Also, I activated the visor for your TT helmet and included these files incase you wish to have the visor.
Download: https://www.mediaf...sz14jmrzpk
Incidentally, this would not show up in the cycliste viewer because it is not set up for auto-colouring, but ingame the problem would arise.

Two options:
1. You add it to the database as an entry in sta_equipment under the csc marque; or
2. Easier yet, just rename the _d file that is helmet_csc_tt_visor_d.dds to helmet_csc_tt_d.dds and let it over-write the non-visored one.
(You might want to make a copy of the non visored _d file incase you change your mind) |
