You can edit your budget with an editor if you want. Full Editor, Fast Editor... You can download it here, find the column of Sponsor or Finances and edit your budget. |

Isn't there a "legit" way to get around this? I mean, do you have to change the budget to be able to afford training camps / staff etc?

Well, you'll receive a 13th payment by your sponsor in the same year. So by making some calculations there is a legit way to getting around it

Okay, and if I remember correctly, the sponsors can crank up the amount of money you're paid, if you're doing well no? I think I had that happen to me, I could be wrong though.

Yes. After season sponsor will present you a new budget with more or less money. I simulate the entire season without completing any sponsors task and my new budget was: 0$. Which in practice means the end of the game.
If you asking about editing then column finan_i_solde in GAM_career_data table. |

I haven't played a career in PCM 13 yet but this is how it should work.
(Edit: After feedback from Jesleyh I did a short test and fixed my post.)
1. In the first days of the season, you can negotiate the sponsor goals, which you can use to raise the budget. It will take effect immediately. With Astana I was able to raise the budget by 2 M. (Obviously it would be hard to satisfy the sponsor but who cares if it is a one year contract only.)
2. When you have a continental team, you should fire some staff. A cheap doctor for example is totally useless and you cannot afford a good one anyway. Also you can fire the scout.
3. As mentioned above, your sponsor will pay 13 times per year. So consider this when calculating your yearly budget.

If i edit, it's will be the same budget for all the teams, right ? |

I do not sit in front of the editor but I doubt it. I think that this only applies Player coz there is your balance. |

Yes, you only edit team of player.
AI team don't have a budget. (and don't ask, even if you don't understand) |

@Lachi: In PCM 2013 I already edited my budget and surprisingly I saw all teams had a budget, too. May be a mistake but they all have finances. |

Can you be more specific. I'm not talking about numbers on the screen.
Did you sum up the rider and staff wages and compared them to the budget?
Do you have proof that the AI teams cannot sign riders above their budget? |

I have nothing of that sort. But just when I went to sponsor, to edit my own yearly budget, in PCM 2012 I was the only sponsor with a budget, all the other teams just showed 0.
However, now I see all the sponsors have a budget. BMC has 6.000.000 or something, OPQS a little less, etc...
Doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I noticed it and it must be there for a reason. |

(What is the reason behind the star rating of the equipment again?)

I thought it had an effect in Quick Sim?
Though you're right, probably those finances were an idea of Cyanide but they didn't have the time/energy to really make it work properly I guess I'll know next season when transfers has been made. |

You dont get any price money in PCM13. The riders get the price money like in real life. Makes the game a bit more realistic, but it could spoil some careers if you dont know about it. |

You get a 13th month worth of money instead now. If you show some restraint on signing staff, finances actually seem easier in PCM13 than in any previous game.

When do you actually get the 13th months money?
I haven`t played a career yet but when seeing the sponsor money (e.g. 330000€) then I get 27500€/months, which is only 330000€/12. |
