I was just playing my 1st race, and noted that Detailed Simulation is gone. I use to love to use it for races that I used my "B Team" on. B team is riders who I don't use often, but have them for roster spots.
Quick Simulation is all I have. And I don't like to use it. I don't feel you can really setup things as well with it.
Am I missing something...or is Detailed Sim gone in PCM 2013?
Pain,Agony,Suffering...Thats why I love cycling!

There is no more detailed simulation.
Quick Simulation is said to have been improved, however. |

I thought it was really odd as well to remove that function. Sadly, I feel like they've taken multiple steps down the ladder, compared to how many they've taken up, when it comes to new / old features / layout.
Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.

I'm afraid alm is right, it seems like 2 steps up on one aspect of the game and 1 step down on another. So pretty much, the game IS moving forward but some great things are being discarded |

Be happy.
Last year, it was one step forward, two steps back.

Really? Apart from the Mountain AI and the odd Flat peloton stopping thing (neither of which i have encountered regularly, maybe 3-4times in a year) what went backwards from PCM12?
This year is much worse for that aspect.

Last year? Well, obviously there was the useless-to-attack and useless-to-drop-other-riders mountains. There were also the mostly useless-to-attack hills. There was also the messed up sprint because even the best sprinters in the peloton quickly lost most of their energy and could be easily overtaken (a problem which was even more significant in low-level races). Oh and the peloton stopping bug
Plus, even if these weren't reasons enough, they already surpass the amount of good new things of PCM12 (really, there were very few new features besides the damn Armada mode), so it's enough to label it "one step forward, two steps back"
Gameplay wise, I think most problems can be found in this thread: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....ost_655251

Maybe it needed some fine-tuning and they'll implement it in a patch?
There's no use calling it Quick Sim when it's the only way to simulate a race... |

@lluuiiggii
I always seem to have had a different PCM12 to everyone else... Had the odd Mountain AI about 4 times and the low-level sprints (where i spent 70+% of my time) were incredibly fun and open between the 5-6 top level riders in a race. Yes the best did not always win, but never a total outsider.
Which is why i bang on about PCM13 because for me PCM12 was pretty damn good.
