Hey guys, Im trying to edit the finances of a team but it doesnt seem to want to do it. Im using Advanced Editor. Im changing the dyn_finance and then copying the new saved database to my solo folder then loading it. But its the same finance as before? Im definitely loading the right altered cdb file because I renamed it after changing it.
There doesnt seem to be any other place to edit the finace, checked pretty much every other table.
Andy ideas from peeps who know way more than me?
Thanks
Andy |

You need to edit the .cdb file in Solo, then save it, not the .cdb file in Mod/DB.

Really? But why would you then copy the folder to solo/Your DB if it's already in solo/your DB?
Do you save it on another name? That might help sometimes...

Because you have to copy the cdb file from solo into the editor folder to edit, then copy the edited one back dont you? |

Uhm, editor folder? If you mean 'open editor -> extract .cdb', yes. Otherwise no.

Ah wait, Ive figured it out. You don't edit the DYN_finance.
To change the money your team has, edit the GAM_Career_data table and change the finan_i_solde value.

He's talking about the Advanced Editor. There you have to put the .cdb in a folder (that comes with the editor) called "Databases", then import, edit, export and then it'll again be in "Databases", so you need to copy it to where you want

Hi, I actually encountered the same problem, but when I read this thread and changed the financ_i_solde of GAM_carreer_data PCM wouldn't load the savegame anymore. Does anyone of you know what to do? I changed the finan_i_solde back to the original value, though PCM is still unable to load it. Any suggestions, besides starting over? |

You should never overwrite your latest save so that you have a backup in case the editing went wrong.
If you have such a backup, try to edit one more time. This time, pay attention to only edit a reasonable number, for example raise it by 1000 and see what it does in the game.
If you don't have a backup, take the backup, which was created automatically by the game. The backup has the same file name as the save with ~ at the end. Remove the ~ to load it in the editor and game.
And there are more backups in the weeklysave folder. Look at the filename to see which day its from. |

Thanks so much, I wasn't aware of the automatic back-ups. (Which makes my no-back-up story all the more stupid, i know). I will try again and i'll post here if I still have problems.

Hi,
I changed the finan_i_solde value from 95700 to 95701 so the height of the value wouldn't cause any problems. Though PCM still failed to load the save. Is there an additional value I should be changing? |

I think you should be more specific about your problem with the game. What exactly does happen? |

After changing the finan_i_solde and (succesfully) saving savegame. PCM starts up, I try to load the savegame and then an error message shows that PCM has stopped running and it is looking for solutions, after which it shuts down. So PCM fails to load the savegame.
Other savegames, including the backup savegame, can be loaded and played. |

Have any of you succesfully changed the finan_i_solde without this problem? |

Many.
Although this thread is about the advanced editor, I will explain "how to edit finances" using my editor, wich can be found in the signature:
1. Quit the game
2. Start my editor
3. Click the star, then 'extract cdb', then search your save*
4. Find 'GAM_Career_data' under 'Select table'
5. Change the value in the column finan_i_solde
6. click the star, then 'export to cdb'
7. Click yes to save, then enter a file name
8. Start the game and load the file from step 7
*your save is here: my documents\pcm13\users\your name\database\solo\name of db\
