Sorry for those who read it i was wrong...
I let the topic if someone has a better solution
I think I found something great on the editor please stick it if you think the same!
So as you know it it's really hard to create a stage, and as you know you have to make some roads twice because the zcts isn't big enough!
But, i find something that can interest you with the xml export!
For example you can create Telegraphe and Galibier then you can share it and someone who wants to use it can do it right now!
So i explain how (tell me if you wan't pictures)
To understand what i mean, we have 2 files (actually 2 different zcts)
So you create your zcts called it file one, then file/Save water/road network.
It will create the xml for the file number 1
You create a second zcts with other coordinates but close to the first one.
Once again you export the xml.
Then you take the 4 lines of the </stageInitData> = longitudemin, latitudemin etc. in the 2nd XML, copy it, then past it in the 1st XML
Finally, you're still in the 2nd zcts, you import you're 1st XML and it's done!!

But then the road points won't be in the place they would have to be, I think? I remember trying to paste a climb from one .zcts to other (they had different coordinates but included the same climb) and it didn't really work (the roads were in, but they weren't in the position of the climb). You can manually move the road points to the climb, but it might not look very good.

Yes this is why you have to move your coordinates in fact
I'm testing to see if this really work |

F*** it seems that you're right... I verified it and the Z seems to be false :s
I'm testing one more time |

In fact the Z shouldn't be the problem, but rather the X and Y (they represent the meters that the road point is from the extremes of the .zcts map). Z is for height meters which should be the same for all stages

So... i'm really sorry, i thought, changing coordinates would change everything, but as i verified, it changed nothing...
Luigi i'm understanding what you said in fact the xml generate have their X/Y moved because it takes the X/Y from the editor and not from the coordinates :/
It is something that cyanide have to change!

When you are importing the new xml-file untick the stick to ground button or whatever it's called, don't remember. Then you mark all the points, (alt-gr and drag the box thing over the road, if I remember right) and move the roads to the correct place. You don't have to move every point manually, but the whole road the same time. The road will be exactly the same as in the original .zcts.
The use of the xml-files are extremely handy. No need to make the same climb twice. There might be a issue with the coordinates though, since the imported roads can appear outside of the terrain. If so, you have to play around with the coordinates of the new .zcts-file.

Hi there!
I'm still figuring how to convert my road from map 1 to map 2. I had the idea to create a program which can help us to go from one xml to another with different coordinates.
Is there any developper here who could be interested?
I have someone at my office who wants to try, but as I am not sure...
Is there someone who is interested by this program? As it will be few hours of development, I don't want him to do it for nobody.
@ Johan92 thanks for your tips, I thought of it, but it's pretty boring :/ |

You don't need a program for it, its already possible. It takes you ten seconds to move the road to the correct spot.
