What Stats Actually Do

This is simply an early announcement for something i'll do once PCM 13 comes out.
For years the community has debated exactly what each stat actually does, and now i will attempt to end the discussion once and for all.
Once PCM 13 comes out i will spend a lot of time running various tests to determine each stats actual impact.
At this time i don't have a solid plan for how to do it but here is a rough plan:
1) Create an 8 man squad with all stats 50
2) The for each test 1 rider will have 1 stat 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and 85
3) At the start of the stage i will drop them all out of the peloton
4) I will then run the various tests to see what that 1 stat does
Closer to the time i'll probably ask for suggestions on how to run the tests as fairly as possible.
I will post screens/video of each test as well.
Hopefully this will put an end to these discussions for ever! Until then feel free to argue about stats |

Thanks! We will be needing this so that CosmicOsmo doesn't override us with false info.

Smart idea!
Hope some strange effect of stats(acc not acc f.e.) will be completely fixed for PCM 2013, but it's a good idea.
The thread should also get a sticky then, so that others can read it for the whole year, and newbies won't make new threads to ask about it, since it'd be clear in this topic.
Oh, and @NTTHRASH's point.

Good idee, this can help a lot of PCM players with using their riders better.

Well, people like sobrano and some other from the community have sort of done that for the past games, and there are still discussions, so I doubt that this will end it for once and for all I'm sure it'll be pretty helpful though, specially since ACC is changed in PCM13, a few others might have as well

Yeah, pretty much all the stats in the matrix were made more dramatic. Meaning cobblers will win by even more than 3 minutes; same for others.

Cobbles will be more selective because different cobbled sectors will have different ratings. Arenberg will tire your riders more than other cobble sector due to it being harder for example. Not because the matrix changed.
Btw, about the cobbles being rated differently, which doesn't seem to be remembered as much as it should given it's a fantastic new feature imo: how do we know which cobbles are harder? In the twitch Cyanide did, I remember trying to look at P-R profile (or some other race they clicked, but had lots of cobbles - think it was P-R though) and not notice any difference (e.g. color difference). Can you know that in 3D or you simply can't know?
Maybe somebody in this thread heard something about it
I keep bringing this bit up as i love the cobbles! Will be the big thing i want to cover in the release day stream, so hopefully we will understand better then...
I know people (well sobrano) have done tests before, but since then many aspects of the game have changed and been improved. For example ACC will now work differently, RES has changed (a little bit) and now i expect REC to have been reworked a bit. And of course with the all new mountain set up where gaps are easy to make the influence of MO will be different.
And of course no-one knows what exactly FTR does...

Didn't some stats function differently on different terrains? For example hills, mountains and cobbles?
I thought this was the case in PCM12. Or do I just imagine these things |

I'll ask Eyolfur about fighter stat ( so when I get answer I'll tell you ), also about resistance stat as I am quite interested in that particularly.

I look forward to this, as it will answer the age old ManGame question: is Bakari good for anything?
Seriously though, should be interesting. You'll have to do a variety of terrains, but it will definitely give detailed results. |

For me, the most interesting is how the green bar affects speed of rider. For example two guys with the same stats, first: green bar 90% full, second guy, green bar 60% full.
First guy riding with heart rate 144, what heart rate need second to ride with the same speed, next to first (or in constance distance after him)?
I had to test it a long time ago but I'm too lazy
