I know there are variants for the GT's after 2015, but will there be variants for the smaller stage races. I was browsing through "single player" and saw a lot of different versions of the smaller stage races, I wonder if those will show up in my career.

Yes, if you have 3 variants (for example)
1. , 2. and 3.
1. - will show in 2013
2. or 3. - will show in 2014
1. or one of these that didn't used (for example 3. was used for 2014, in that case 1. or 2.) - 2015
Well, yes, if you've seen variants for any race in single race mode, they'll appear in your career How many variants there are/for which races depends on the DB you're using, or which variants you've added manually.

Just the Daily 2013 DB, for example. All the variants are "pre-added" to show up in career?
