I posted this a few moments today in the wrong section:
I don't know wether I should place it here or somewhere else, but I am really "hungry" to play PCM with the Olympic Road Race 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. I can't do it myself because I'm a real disaster when it comes to dealing with computers...
The profile of the race and all the other details are here on page 92/93: https://urutau.pro...02_eng.pdf |

As far as i know Rio is not covered by the .dem files, so any stage would have to fully created by hand from scratch

And what does that mean? That it's not likely that anyone is going to make it? |

I wouldn't say that nobody will create it, but it's a whole lot more work.

Yeah, but without the correct .dem files, you have to create everything, including the terrain yourself. That's not easy.

Isn't there a basic terrain file? Or can't you choose the file of Argentina? It doesn't really matter, if it is up to me... |

That's what .dem files are. Unfortunately they don't cover the whole world, however.
Rio being one of the places not included.

Speaking strictly about profile, it shouldn't be too hard to create even without .dem files for Rio. As you mentioned, it's just 30 kms of roads that needs to be created. However to create the rest (correct placement of seas, the rest of the mountains/hills, etc) = to make the stage realistic according to the real thing - would be quite hard without .dem files. Though this might not even matter for most people
