After every Grand Tour we have a lot of "what if"s.
What if Froome didn't have to help Wiggins?
What if there had been a little less TT'ing?
What if Contador had been there as well?
What if everyone had been in shape?
Time to find out!
This story will follow three GT's raced in Single-race mode.
Each World Tour teams and two wild-card teams will battle over 63 stages to finally decide who is the best Grand Tour cyclist in the peloton.
I will play with the 2013-DB and the 2012-routes., using a weak team thus only reporting the race - not really taking part in it.

Here we present the final startlist for all 22 teams. The flags represent first team nationality and secondly nationality of the captain.

1 Giro, 1 Tour and 1 Vuelta races in succession with the exact same rosters.
After each tour the GC's will be made together and in the end 1 rider will have won the overall classification and can call himself the best GT-rider of the peloton without questions asked.
So sort of GT with 63 stages but without pushing the recovery stat to extremes

Seems interesting But will the overall-overall classification be only put together outside the game, or are you considering setting the riders for the start of GT2 with the same time they finished GT1 because of the AI reactions? (f.e. say that Contador leads the Vuelta, but in the overall-overall is a min behind Froome, he normally shouldn't trying to get a minute on Froome since he leads the race, but not if you play with the overall-overall times in game). Then again the AI attacks with the lead or without it, they don't really consider any better strategies for defending GC positions

The times will be put together outside the game. With the exact same peloton it won't be too hard sorting the export and adding the numbers together

I didn't mean by hardness, I meant by gameplay (or sorta since you won't be really playing it)

I guess I could do that (just not quite sure how, bot someone could probably tell me when the time comes )

I think both the possibility of early attacks of favourites and their chance of succeeding has to do with their position in the GC. Have seen big names attack from far out a couple of times after having a bad first week but never when in the lead...
Edit: won't have any bearing till after the Giro anyhow, so plenty of time to figure it out
