Old Oval Button Flags

Here is a link to 174 flags that were made in the old oval button style, most of them copied from the flags file in the game. Some of the flags have been updated to reflect recent changes (thanks lluuiiggii). All of the flags that have IOC abbreviations use them correctly. Also there is a zip file attached that has all of the flags.

As another note, Lesotho has changed flags also.. now this:

I've no idea really if there's any sort of tool to do those flags. Perhaps a template. But anyway, on the few times I found myself needing one of those for the DB, in Photoshop:
1 - use this 'blank' flag, made from white parts of other flags, as a "plis";
2 - resize country flag and put it below the plis;
3 - take the colored flag from a country, convert it to black and white with total black, place it between the flag and the plis and then use the effect "screen" to leave only the white part.

And here's the result: Lybia / Lesotho

Attached is the .psd used to make those above. Then you'd just need to resize the new flag and place it below the plis and the black/white layer.

Edit: looking at the flags above and the blank one, you might consider editing the Alpha channel so that the 'shadow' above the flag appears a bit more. But well, that's the Alpha Channel used on most of the oval flags in the DB Wink

Thanks, fixed my hole in the flags, will be putting the 174 flags and that template up. I've also updated to make sure all flags abbreviations match the IOC.

The Slovenian flag is not correct. Here it is the same as the Slovakian flag...

Wow that was a weird glitch, even though the old flags were deleted, photobucket wouldn't let go of them and kept using them. Had to build a different folder with these flags. May try later to put them back in the Flags folder in case I screwed up someone's links (other than my own).
