Considering there wasn't a victory ranking in the Man-Game, and I think it is cool to see what riders win the most in one season, I present you my Victory Rankings. The concept: the victory rankings will be updated through the season and after every month, I will write a small review here telling about the riders and team's who took most victories that month. To start, I present you the 11 riders who, in my opinion, will take the most victories this season. (Note: these riders are placed in alphabetical order.)
| Country | Rider | Team | Division | Wins | | Tom Boonen | Pokerstars.com | PT | 6 | | Yuri Trofimov | Koenigsegg | PT | 5 | | Allan Davis | Hollister Pro Cycling | PCT | 4 | | Nolan Hoffman | Metinvest – Emirates | PCT | 4 | | Simon Geschke | Rothaus – Aegon | PCT | 4 | | David Zabriskie | ING Cycling Project | PCT | 3 | | Dominique Cornu | Team Bpost | PCT | 3 | | Jurgen Roelandts | Bouygues Telecom | PCT | 3 | | Markus Eibegger | Magna – Ryanair | CT | 3 | | Maxime Vantomme | Rothaus – Aegon | PCT | 3 |
| Country | Team | Jersey | Division | Wins | | Country | Team | Jersey | Division | Wins | | Rothaus – Aegon | | PCT | 12 | | Hollister Pro Cycling | | PCT | 10 | | ING Cycling Project | | PCT | 7 | | Koenigsegg | | PT | 6 | | Pokerstars.com | | PT | 6 | | Magna – Ryanair | | CT | 6 | | Bouygues Telecom | | PCT | 5 | | Team Bpost | | PCT | 5 | | Festina – Canal+ | | PT | 4 | | Jaguar – Eritel | | PCT | 4 |
Note: Criteriums are not included in the rankings. KoM, Points and U23 classifications are neither.

Jose Alarcon - Team Bintang
This small climber dominated the CT last year taking crown after crown on the long mountains. He is back this year in a new team. Team Bintang can supplie him with the best mountain domestiques in the world. Krasnoperov and Nazaret could lead loads of other teams on the mountains. His opposition got stronger though with Dekker and Taaramae.
Jonathan Bellis - Team Rothaus - Aegon
Jonathan Bellis was dominant last year sweeping the 4 stage Tour de Boland. He combines a good hill talent with a fast finish. He left the Rapha Condor team for German Rothaus outfit which can supplie him with a very useful domestique in Geschke. Di Maggio, his enemy from last year is in the PT now but Froome who was his lieutenant has improved over the off season. Will he be able to repeat last year's performances or will Vantomme have a bad influence on him.
Daniele Bennati - Team Puma - SAP
Daniele Bennati was the continental sprinter last year. He almost solely brought Puma to promotion. He has two of the best lead outs in the peloton in front of him in Vedel Kvist and Gasparotto. He is peaking to the Giro this year where we can expect him at the front in all the flat stages aiming to win the points jersey.
Sam Bewley - Milka - AVG
This Kiwi has been called the new Boonen, who you will find further down this list, for a couple of years now. He combines great sprint and cobbles qualities. But to become the victory chamion, he will have to stand up out of Boonen's shadow.
Tom Boonen - Pokerstars.com
The Belgian has always been one of the best riders in the peloton. Both over the cobbles and in the sprints. Though rumour has it he is getting old, there is no doubt that he will still challenge the best on those two fields. He has great support with guys like Kluge, Holloway, Degenkolb and Mohs to form one of the best leadout trains ever assambled.
Damiano Cunego - Lotto - Cervelo
Definatly the best rider in MG history, Cunego has always been one of the riders with the most victories. Though his opposition has gotten better, still expect him to be there fighting for the win when it counts. He is probably very motivated as many predict him to start to decline next season. Lotto, who paid 1.300.00 for his talents can surround him with some strong teammates, especially for the hilly classics.
Roman Maksimov - Team Privatbank
Maksimov is probably a wild card on this list. He was quite dissapointing last year with the CSC team. But he stepped down to Team Privatbank in the continental tour. Can he fight back against lesser sprinters? Does his off-season training helps him to survive the uphills better? He certainly has the supporting cast to prove his doubters wrong with riders like Buts and Polivoda.
Taylor Phinney - Wikipedia
Phinney is one of the best riders in the peloton. Strong uphill and top 3 against the clock. With Zabriskie and Rogers now in the PCT, look for him to fight with Coppel for the wins in PT-timetrials. Phinney should get the upperhand from the Frenchman, especially in TT's during stage races. On top of that, he is also the best sprinter between the climbers so he could take a surprise win or two in sprints with a small peloton.
Simone Ponzi - Wiggle Professional Cycling Team
Ponzi is one of the best punchers in the peloton with arguably the best supporting cast for hilly races in the whole peloton. That alone could be an argument for his spot here but on top of that, he has been training this season on his speed on flat finishes. He could certainly take some wins on stages where the run up to the final contains some hills.
Filippo Pozzato - Heineken presented by California Giant Berry Farms
The Olympic champion is not only the most stylish person in the peloton. He also has the biggest ego. And can win a lot of races to. He is a fast at the line and good over hills so expect him to challenge in all Pro Tour classics except of Liechtenstein.
Francesco Ventoso - Prio - Porto
Ventoso has always been a great rider. Not the best puncher in the peloton, not the best sprinter in the peloton but a good combination of both. Already quite strong in the PT last year, expect him to fight for victory in every race he rides as he is now in the PCT. This guy is my personall favourite to have the most wins by the end of the season.
Stay tuned for the first updat at the end of January!

Yuri Trofimov and Angel Madrazo could be worth looking out for, as two heavy winners from last season in the PT.
Its hard to predict though - a lot depends on which races they go to, and quality of opposition. Alarcon will find it harder this year for example, with quite a few top climbers having moved down from PT level

I'm expecting 9 Giro stage wins for Bennati, so it's obvious who will top this ranking

I expect Maksimov to win every race/stage he is in That's why he is down there in the CT level to build up his confidence/arrogance.

A very few maybe
I already expected him there with so many completely flat stages, there's no better terrain for Mohs.
Still, with the national bonus and a team completely built around Bennati (Qatar lineup + Nuyens), it takes a lot to finish ahead of him.
Curious how Degenkolb's bad REC affects him in the latter stages.
We'll see

Nice to see Ventoso on your list, but I'm a little sceptical about that possibility. I'm using him as a fast-finishing puncheur rather than as a hills-tolerant sprinter. Also I'm including him in some races where I'm afraid Avelino won't deliver as well as a couple of stage-races (Britain and Portugal). That said I agree he'll be an avid victory seeker but in my eyes it'll be hard for him to reach Bennatti, Boonen and Cunego's numbers.
Anyway does your victory ranking include only stage wins or GC triumphs as well?

Ventoso is imo, just perfect for the PCT. Strong enough to stay with the best punchers, fast enough to beat the best sprinters. Let's hope he surprises you!
Victory ranking is both stage wins and GC wins.
