game freezes when loading stage

my game keeps freezing when i want to play a stage of the tour de france, the load bar says decompressing, loads almost all the way and then stops, it alwasy freezes
please help! |

Generally, the loading doesn't go very smooth. It can happen that the bar freezes for maybe 20 seconds, half a minute, or so. So you should try to wait a bit longer, maybe.
If that's not the case and it actually freezes, try to lower your graphics settings and try again.
Also, but that's just a guess, it may be that the stage you're trying to load, doesn't exist. That could happen if you've installed a database wrong.

normally for me it loads smoothly, when i do wait a bit longer, it does load, but then it goes so slow its frustrating, th egraophics settings that the computer is happy with is pretty much no graphics at all. and the stage is the real one |

If the stage didn't exist, the game would crash when you clicked on it to see the profile. But in PCM12 that's changed, if the stage doesn't exist you'll see the stage Plouay - Plouay, so that's not the problem

If the game is slow in FPS in 3D, it's because the graphics are too high for the computer. But it could also have to do with the stage; for example stages with much water will lag most often, as will stages with too much graphics (e.g. too much trees or very big cities).

yeah but the graphics that make the pc happy are pretty bad for my enjoyment, there is no background or anything it is just plain. anyway to cahnge the graphic settings for the computer? |

If the game crashes, then you have to lower the graphical options.
Also turn off the recording of the replay, if you do not need it. |

So you lowered the graphical options to 0 on the left and on the right you unticked everything which increases CPU or RAM usage and ticked everything which reduces CPU/RAM usage and the game still crashes during ALL the races? If yes, are you sure that your computer is within the minimum system requirements of the game? |

i haven`t lowered to zero, i only decrease the graphical options a little, but the same happens...yes, my computer is more than capable of running the game without any problems, it has been running the game without problems for 2 or 3 years... |

It is difficult to help if you don't explain your problem correctly or if you don't follow instructions fully.
You cannot be playing PCM12 for 3 years because it only has been released last summer. So please explain in detail what your problem is. Does it happen with every stage? Only some stages? Is it related to the recoding of the replay? Does the problem go away if you lower options to 0? And so on. |

sorry for didn`t explain it properly...when i mean that i`ve playing for some years, i mean pro cycling, not only the last game... it`s been happening at the end of every stage, after the podium cerimonies, the game goes to the journal page and then freezes...it is not related to the recording of the replay, i have that option "off"...i already lowered the graphics, but the same thing continues to happen...after the stage, that runs fine, the game reaches the journal page and freezes, and i don`t know why.... |

So you can never finish a stage? Or did it work once in PCM12?
Did you install the latest patch?
Have you installed something else, for example a DB? If yes, which? |

the game was working fine since i bought it, when it was released, but this began to occur only for the last 2 or 3 weeks. i have the latest patch and daily`s db, the public beta. before i was playind with the expansion pack`s for patch 1.3, then for 1.4 and it was working fine.i don`t know what changed that. |
