Salary caps for 2013 are as follows:
ProTour: 3,500,000 for 20 to 30 riders
ProContinental: 2,500,000 for 20 to 30 riders
Continental: 1,200,000 for 15 to 20 riders
With so much more salary money in the market, it has been decided to limit Continental teams to 1.2 million. Dont forget that while you will race alongside ProContinental teams, you are competing against your fellow CT teams.
Loan Cap
New this season is a loan cap for all teams of 500,000. This loan cap is for wages associated with your team through loans, that you are not paying for. Whether it be loans in, or loans out.
A few examples:
Your team loans in a rider with a 50,000 wage and you are not paying any of that wage: 50,000 of your loan cap is used up.
Your team loans in a rider with a 50,000 wage and you are paying all of the wage: None of your loan cap is used up.
You loan out a rider with a 250,000 wage, and are still paying 100,000 of his wage: 150,000 of your loan cap is used up

Okay, gives me a good idea of what riders I will be able to sign. I think the best riders I had on my shortlist are still in reach.

Omg, that will be hard, i thought a salary cap between 1,5-2 mil for CT teams
But that way the transfer season will be more interesting and exciting |

For CT teams if they sign 1 rider at 500k wage they have to get the rest of the team at 50k.
Maximum avg wage: 80k (15 riders), 60k (20 riders)
Will be exciting to see the teams made Can still get good teams by being smart.
Same stats for PCT and PT:
PCT: Max avg wage: 125k (20 riders), 83,333k (30 riders)
PT: Max avg wage: 175k (20 riders), 116,667k (30 riders)

Loan cap is a good thing, as well as the salary caps. Should prevent the managers from doing too much 'hardcore battles' against higher level-teams.

Remember that you will be buying less riders, so it is not directly comparable to PCT or PT

Nice steps between divisions. If you really want a rider it is possible to beat a higher league team. But it will cost you for the rest of your line up. Looking ever more forward to the actual transfers.

Yeah this is very interesting. Will also make it difficult to actually get a decent domestique at a 50K wage, as those will be very hard fought in the CT. But it will open up for the possibility of great talents not becoming WAAAY too expensive, as it would give little meaning in the CT to pay very much.
