I'm just looking for a bit of advice. I've just bought the game and would like to ask a few questions.
1) what is the best thing to do when you start career mode. World tour team or a lower level team?
2) is it considered 'cheating' to sim races? What do most people do on here?
3) where can I find teams like Team Raleigh in the game?
4) any other newbie advice you can give me? Things like training schedules and peak form seems a bit complicated at this stage?!

Many thanks.
1) Depends on what you want. I would suggest using a WT team to get used to the game, if you are new to it, and once you are, a CT team. CT teams are usually more enjoyable, imo, because you can make the team how you want basically.
2) No, in my saves I sim races, but I always play the really important ones. I like to make quickish progress. If you want to sim, its as simple as that, you can sim. Be warned the results are usually very strange and not very realistic though.
3) There are expansion packs for the game, which add new teams, races, graphics, equipment etc. PCMdaily has a great database (can be found in the download section as well as instructions and support) and I am fairly sure Raleigh are in their update, so I recommend you try the PCMdaily EX Pack.
4) Basically you want your riders to peak for their season goals. So you can use the ones that come into the game, as they usually work fairly well, or you can make your own schedule to better fit that specific rider. I am not the best at explaining this though, so if you wait for more responses or do a bit of searching you may find something thats useful.
1) Since you're starting the game, I'd go for a World Tour team. When you're more used to the gameplay, season planning, etc, you can try the lower teams which should be more of a challenge.
3) It depends on the database you're playing with. The original database, for example, doesn't include Raleigh, and since it's not a very big team, you won't find it in many DBs. The PCMDaily Expansion Pack includes it, along with all British continental teams, and you'll probably also find it in some giant DBs.
4) You could check the Tips and Tricks section on the left menu, the career section could give you some start. Also if you try searching there should be some "how to get started" or similar on that.
They aren't different downloads, one updates the other and thus all downloads make it for only one thing. The links and download order have already been posted in the other thread you created.
