With a lot of cash to spend in the transfer market, Bintang will be looking for another key climber, some power in the hill classics and maybe the odd sprinter

Daniel Navarro feels like it is his time to lead a team. He feels great in Team Bintang but feels like Nazaret and Krasnoperov are blocking his chances and hopes that his manager gives him a chance to lead a team himself. New Spanish continental team Iberia - Comunidad Valenciana seems like a great opportunity for him to lead a team.

Team Bintang is looking more at buying than selling this year. But anything is possible, once wages are complete we will make an announcement of our targets and in which case who would be able to be sold as well

MTN express interest in Augustyn
MTN press officer and manager, aidanvn13, has leaked emails in which he was discussing the possibility of a transfer or any deal regarding Team Bintang rider, John-Lee Augustyn. Aidanvn13 has however said he is not sure how Bintang manager, jack888, feels about the situation.
"Obviously I would love John-Lee in our line-up. I'm not sure how jack888 feels about this, but I just thought it would be worth a mention. Who knows, maybe he is interested? Right now I'm just trying to establish who is a possibility for when we reach the transfer market."
Aidanvn13 also went on to say that more news would be made public on their webpage later today.

Due to interest in many of our GC prospects, Team Bintang is considering offloading one in the transfer season. It will most likely depend on wages but we will bring you more information in the coming days. A good chance for a new team to pick up a leader. |

In the upcoming transfer season Team Bintang's sponsor want the team to buy a rider who can, and will win HC races in 2013, they have given manager Jack888 a blank cheque in order to achieve this.

Goodbye Cadel
News has just come through that contract talks with Cadel Evans have broken down and he will not be re-signing with the team in 2013.
Journalists noticed his profile being taken down from the team website earlier today and when Cadel was asked for a comment he replied:
"Although my off season hasn't been great, and my climbing ability just isn't what it used to be, I REFUSE to be paid a rookie contract. Do you know how many jerseys I sell? Do you know how much my presence brings a team? I deserve at least $90,000 a year and the only place I will find that right now is on the free agent market."
After the dust settled, both parties switched to a more generous approach.
"At Team Bintang, we thank Cadel for all his work over the last 2 years in building this team into what it is today, we wish him luck finding a new team".
"I Cadel, thank manager Jack888 for the opportunity to lead a team in the CT and thank the team for all they did for cycling in Australia".
Good luck Cadel. You will make a great addition to a CT team.

Team Bintang is willing to trade a GC rider for a rider who can win hilly HC races. Augustyn is rumored to be looking for a more senior role, or possibly for a run in the PT.

Bintang Sign Alarcon
Team Bintang has managed to snap up the PCT's top climber, with Alarcon set to put pen to paper this afternoon. A huge top up in the budget from new sponsors allowed manager Jack888 to negotiate such an important deal.
Bookies now have Team Bintang at $2.48 to promote to the PT. The uncertainty lies in the question of whether or not there is enough mountain GC's to take enough points in order to promote, due to Team Bintang lacking in all other areas.
But that doesn't seem to deter manager Jack888 who had this inspirational talk prepared:
"A team who is good at everything is good at nothing. Part of cycling is luck, you need to take risks, and you can't take risks when you are favorites for every race. Our team will take control in the mountains and attack like no tomorrow in the classics, which I believe is a good mix."

I honestly hate you for buying Alarcon.
I hope my new star Popovych will be able to beat him in some races with a TT, or more hilly terrain, if he will be in some of those.

Haha, to be honest I was planning on just turning one of my current riders into a freak, but the opportunity to buy Jose was too good to pass. I think a 3rd leader will give me more points than upgrading a current one and giving him less race days.
But yea, hopefully we have some good battles. Alarcon will lose out on the hills and TTing, but not as much this season with his upgraded support crew I hope!

Ruijgh almost won the Corsica stage last season if Alarcon wouldnt have found second air...
As it`s still only Ruijgh for me I will try again in some HC mountain races. ;-) |

Kraspoperov and Nazaret could probably get at least three of those too. |

Okay, i am screwed, very similar goals and Popovych to face the three headed monster, at least we can both achieve those top 5s.

Haha, I must say I love all the hype my team is generating. Hopefully we don't crack under the pressure, the man game can produce anything!
And yea, without a good TT'er we will need to make big time on the climbs, so I'm gonna have to send strong teams to some HC races. Might see if I can fit all 3 into one race just for a bit of fun, 3 pronged attack!
